Radio host Michael Savage barred from UK, vows to sue

But of course jihadis get the red carpet rolled out upon their arrival, and get to live on welfare, courtesy of the British taxpayers.

Savage response: barred shock jock vows to sue

A US radio shock jock barred from entering the UK said he will sue for defamation after his name appeared on the Home Office’s list of 16 “least wanted”.

Michael Savage, who hosts far-right talk show The Savage Nation, called Home Secretary Jacqui Smith a “lunatic” and said he was outraged that he had been named alongside hate preachers and a member of Hamas.

She told BBC Breakfast that Mr Savage was “someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country”.

But Mr Savage, real name Michael Weiner, insisted he has never advocated violence.

He said: “For this lunatic Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary of England, to link me up with skinheads who are killing people in Russia, to put me in (the same) league with mass murderers who kill Jews on buses is defamation.

“I thought this was a joke or a mistake… How could they put Michael Savage in the same league with mass murderers when I have never avowed violence?

“As a result of this I am going to sue (Ms Smith).”

Also “named and shamed” are American Baptist pastor Fred Waldron Phelps Snr and his daughter Shirley Phelps-Roper, who have picketed the funerals of Aids victims and claimed the deaths of US soldiers are a punishment for US tolerance of homosexuality.

Hamas MP Yunis Al-Astal, Jewish extremist Mike Guzovsky, former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard Stephen Donald Black and neo-Nazi Erich Gliebe are also on the list released yesterday.

Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky, the former leaders of a violent Russian skinhead gang which committed 20 racially motivated murders, are also banned from coming to Britain. Both are currently in prison.

Making up the rest of the 16 named by the Home Office are preachers Wadgy Abd El Hamied Mohamed Ghoneim, Abdullah Qadri Al Ahdal, Safwat Hijazi and Amir Siddique, Muslim activist Abdul Ali Musa (previously Clarence Reams), murderer and Hezbollah terrorist Samir Al Quntar and Kashmiri terror group leader Nasr Javed.

Article.

So the Untied Kingdumb puts Michael Savage (who once said “tahe your niqab and shove it!”, a sentiment with which I agree 1000000%)   in the same category as baby killer Samir Kuntar, but  al Qaeda talking pig Abu Hamza al-Masri is allowed to incite actual jihad. I guess nowadays in the UK, fomenting the destruction of Great Britain is halal (permitted) but mocking the cult founded by the pedophile Muhammad, and the loonies who follow it/him is haraam (forbidden). Perfect.

The name Michael Savage probably wouldn't be recognized in most of this country. Out of all the truely dangerously evil despots that should be banned from Englands shores,Michael Savage is small potatoesl. Thes Jacque Smith must be as big a useless and inexperiencd fool as our home land security person. Don't be concerned ,Michael Savage won't get your mamma
  • Beejj
I wonder if Osama bin Laden is on the Home office list. Bet he isn't.
  • JEWHAWK
I almost can't even begin to write, for this world is really upside down!

I wonder if Britain still consider itself as a CHRISTIAN country...I doubt
very much.Muslims already took over Her Majesty's country.

They allow KEN LIVINGSTONE (former London's mayor) BASH Israel,
support Hamas and Hezbollah during muslim rallies, invite representatives
from those terrorist groups to give lectures in the country, but their concept
of FREEDOM OF SPEECH is very limited for GEERT WILDERS was denied
his VISA and now we have this SCANDAL.

    The muslims won.The Brits lost.
  • Jacqui Smith has SCREWED THE POOCH on this one. She has opened pandora's box. Now through video websites, Michael Savage's message will be played more, and listened to more in the UK. Jacqui Smith in one fell swoop just pi$$ed off 15 MILLION LOYAL FANS of Dr. Savage. Make no mistake about it, we don't back down. I personally don't give a damn who likes Savage or who doesn't, it's his damned right to speak his mind. That empty suited cow Jacqui Smith has no problem letting in the 7th century throwbacks that preach death to the UK, throw street cones at police, run after police, threaten the Gov.
RAPE YOUR WOMEN, KILL YOUR CHILDREN and ban a man on a radio show ?

Jacqui Smith , get ready for the Savage storm. You haven't seen shi* yet.

John I've looked into this Savage guy ,You're right the ban is ridiculous
  • John
Umm... I don't know if you read the article all the way to the end, but there are 7 Islamic people on the list. So they're not quite rolling out the red carpet for jihadis. Banning Michael Savage from England is kinda harsh, tho.
  • Kal_El
They have placed many jihadis on welfare, on the taxpayer dime (pence?) as
opposed to deporting them back to jihadistan, berserkistan, carbombya or
whatever islamic hell hole they came from, because they do not want the
jihadis (who openly call for slaughtering infidels and overthrowing the
British government) to be tortured and executed.
  • kinda harsh? Are you kidding? It goes way beyond "kind of harsh". It's a total outrage in my book. Equating a talk radio personality who's hugely popular around the country with actual terrorists who want to kill and destroy the west. They should eb ashamed of themselves. This is multiculturalism at its finest. Always "balancing" out the other side when then two are incomparable.

Here's one thing Savage currently can't say:

    "I'll sue you in England!"

A cookie to the person who gets that reference
  • hellosnackbar
Calis I don't know what your reference is ;but if the ban sullies his reputation and cause him to lose earnings in his profession;then he can sue.
That said he can't bring the action in the US.
Many years ago both Telly Savalas and Liberace brought successful actions against UK columnists.(Liberace comically because a columnist called Casandra; labelled him a homosexual).
Unless you are punning on the pronunciation of sue(see) then please enlighten us.

M Savage says " God hates Fags" . Really !! Any church leader who says God hates anything is a walking contradiction. The British minister is correct . There are enough marginal people bellowing B S worldwide about how their God is bigger and better than their neighbor's God . They claim to have a direct line to their God who informs them of exactly what " He " is thinking. Send 'em home Jacqui ! Keep the U K pollution free !!!!!
  • SirWilhelm
Tell me Greg, who elected those leaders? The ones the French used the guillotine to deal with were royalty, not elected. Seems to me like the British people need to wake up before it's too late, or we won't be kidding when we call it Great Britainistan.
  • hellosnackbar
The reason Savage has been banned
is because he's a moron with a big silly gob.
He delights in telling homosexuals that he hopes they die from aids.
    Phelps is a moronic bigot.
And the other guy is some white supremacist twat.
Labour is behind in the polls(18 points)and are there partly through the good work of Melanie Phillips,Rod Little,Peter Hitchens, and of course Pat Condell through his regular video rants; all deriding multiculturism and any silly bollocks associated with Islam.
The decision was made entirely due to the exclusion of Islamic nutters;the banned Americans are for"balance".
As for sueing the British Government that's a stupid idea because it will cost him serious money;and if he's cross examined by some slick QC;he'll get annihilated.
He's been banned under undesirable aliens legislation(LouisFarrakan is similarly excluded.
  • I don't agree with Savage's delivery and rhetoric sometimes, but I'll say this is sad and pathetic on Britain's part. I don't care about "balance". All this is, is just another example of cultural relativism. We all know the people on that list should be the VIOLENT ones (Radical ISlamists).

Britain is beholden to the multiculturalist ideals and by "balancing" the list, they are simply proving our point about the disgusting nature of cultural relativism.

As for savage, this will boost his ratings, even if it costs him money from the lawsuit. This is only a GOOD thing for Savage.
  • hellosnackbar
I agree with you asolutely on paragraph 2.
But if he attempts to sue ;presumably on the grounds that the exclusion unfairly
damages his reputation; then he will be humiliated.
He should go to Carter-Ruck and partners for an opinion where he will probably be advised to forget it.
However, should some firm tell him to pursue it;and it gets to court he will face
people who are the world's best at making one look a fool.
I've seen them in action and they are savage(pun intended).
I hope this happens becausethe entertainment will be superb.
Let's get together inLondon with Necrowolf
Savage seems a little volatile making him a poor competitor against this type of pro.
  • Greg
To all Americans - England is a nation, Britain (also known as: the UK, Great Britain, the United Kingdom, or the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) is a country. Now that that is cleared up, I can confirm that Michael Savage has been barred from entry into Britain, not just England. Therefore, he is also excluded from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Please get it right!
  • Greg
England has just about as stupid of leaders as the US has. They (not-so-great britain) will allow signs on their streets about behead-those-who insult, but if someone says the beheaders must be dealt with then THAT person should not be allowed in putzy britain. Some people are thinking that those leaders should be dealt with like the french dealt with them a couple of hundred years ago, so they had better start doing what is good for their country and people.
