HuffPo: Time to “Negotiate” with the Taliban

by Infidelesto on May 7, 2009 · Comments

No surprise.  The left in this country are pathetic when it comes to confronting evil.  They lament when they MUST accept the fact that evil exists. They experience heartache when they have to step up to the table and deal with an obvious evil…This article can be paraphrased by me in once sentence:

“OMG, how should we deal with these Taliban crazies? I don’t want to fight, but at the same time the Talibans are badn’stuff, maybe it’s time to consider negotiations…”

All together now…YES WE CAN negotiate with terrorists…

What’s interesting is this Huffpo piece stately clearly throughout the article that neogiating will not work, and the author seemingly seems to accept this notion, except for this last line in which she seems to completely contradict all known common sense:

It’s easy to conclude that the Taliban are incapable of negotiation and that any agreement will be shot to pieces within a short time.

But discussion and engagement is now on the agenda and after eight years of this terrible war, it might be time to drag out the negotiating table.

Negotiation with the Takiban is about as sensible as petting a rabid dog.

Left wing people are soo weak and stupid, and cowardly.....it makes me want to puke. I can't understand how a great country like the United States of America produced these spineless imbeciles.
Sad to say....I even have a couple in my own family line....
Maybe, too much sun......genetic mutations from too much UV radiation.....like what happens to benign E-Coli under UV lights...

    Appeasement...Surrender...Capitulation...Defeat...Shame...

Frankly,I really do not think that those words should be on
the dictionary of ANY american administration. The LEFT
want to change America into a third-rate country regarding
    foreign policy.

Is that actually a good thing? For those democrats who claim
that America is "EVIL",the answer is YES,but for the vast majority
of the american people the answer is NO.

If Hillary Clinton,Mr.Holbrooke or any other american official
engage in dialogue with those RAGHEADED CAVE-MEN,they
will be considered victorious by all arab and muslim media and
    population around the globe.
This talks would LEGITIMIZE the most barbaric kind of ruling
since the mongols wrecked the world some centuries ago.
Obama,do NOT negotiate with this scum. You'll regret that until
    the end of your days.

The left wants to make the US a total "has been". Obama is doing his level best to bankrupt us and force American business people to pull out their money and sit on it until we get a government that won't steal every cent they can in unfair taxes.
  • Kal_El
That's what commie pinko leftards do. Take and take and take until everyonre
is equal. Equally miserable, but equal nonetheless.

More accurately, the democraps tax those that work. Spend on those that vote for them and debase the military to the point that "the enemy" (being whichever scumbag it may be at the time) feels they have a shot at walking over us and then good American kids got to die to play for time while we retool an army the dems allowed to go to shit. It's happened that way in every era since the revolutionary war. And it's always the worker class, not the "well-to--do" or the poor that pays the blood price. Note, the Army won't allow felons in....or kids that have had trouble with the law. In the Vietnam era, the liberal girlie-boys ran to Canada (a good place for 'em eh?) or stayed in school til they had phds in "Basket weaving" or "sociology" to avoid service to the very country that gives them the right to be the assholes they are.

    JEWHAWK,

In my opinion the Mongols did the world a huge favor. They crushed the
caliphate. Ghengis Khan is a personal hero of mine, for only through his
ruthlessness did the jihadistan caliphate fall. I read that he sent a little
over 800,000 to the paradise. We need more military leaders like him.

I don't think it's just foriegn policy the admin wants to make us third-rate in. I think he really believes our country uses too much of the world's resources, especially the third world's, and he intends to correct that whether we like it or not. If we suffer as a result, it's justified because we've been a "mean" country, as his wife openly stated, if not "evil" as many in his party seem to believe.

If we're a "mean", "evil" country in their eyes, could it be they believe those "ragheaded cave-men" are morally superior to us? That could explain their willingness to negotiate, and overlook their flaws that are obvious to the rest of us.

In my opinion, Obama has already commited several impeachable offenses. The latest was the forcing of the bankruptcy settlement on Chrysler. In doing so, he violated the seperation of powers by having the exectutive branch do the judiciary branch's job. Not to mention the threats he made to one of the investors, it seems that should be illegal somehow.

Obama needs to be reigned in before it's too late.

Has Mr Huffpo ever heard of something called History? If so, perhaps he believes it's something you do in school to help fill in the time. Negotiating with the Taliban is akin to a goat trying to reach an agreement with a hungry tiger.
  • SirWilhelm
This Huffpo guy needs counseling, sounds like he's in denial to me, how else can you explain how he contradicts himself? Negotiation (read APPEASEMENT) is so close to his soul, he can't admit, even to himself, that it's pointless with the Taliban, although the Pakistani military sees it, thank goodness.

    Hey cool infidel,
thsi is Cris Conservalidty,,twitter. I conducted an experiment: Huff post, media matters, Daily Kos & advent.org(or similar name) I joined and began posting comments. In addition, I made sure that my comments did not contain foul language or name calling. All of my comments were well reasoned and fact based (which you know is incomprehensible to these people). The result- none of them were ever posted. They delay and screen everything. Conservative and fair sites allow all opinions to post,in order to stimulate debate. Anyway, given this fascist media technique, why haven't I heard a peep from the GOP-now that Huffington post is now a member of the White House Press Corp?
  • SirWilhelm
Hey pcisbs, is there anyway you can document what you've done? If you can, I'd suggest you contact Fox News and see if they find it newsworthy. I'd be surprised if they wouldn't be delighted in this kind of opportunity.
