Thank God Saddam is gone…

Memri

The Iraqi Human Rights Ministry announced that a mass grave has been discovered in southern Najaf, containing the bodies of 3,000 Kurds murdered by the Saddam Hussein regime. It should be noted that about 100,000 Kurds were murdered by this regime, and that, even six years after its fall, the bodies of thousands of murdered civilians remain undiscovered. In Najaf alone, 48 mass graves have been found.

Arnold Hernandez: "The U.S. sold Saddam WMD, after hey put him into power."

That is not true; Saddam Hussein rose to Dictatorial Power through the Fascist Baath Party of Iraq. There was no involvement by the United States in his rise to Dictatorship. We sold weapons to Iraq during the Cold War because Iraq at the time was anti-Communist, and the Communist Soviet Union was then an even greater evil that Saddam Hussein. We also sold weapons to Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war since Iran at the time, under the Islamic Revolution of Ayatollah Khomeini, was an even greater evil than Saddam Hussein. After the fall of the Soviet Union and after the Iran-Iraq war, Saddam Hussein turned his attention toward conquest of Kuwait and he expanded his relationships with Islamic Terror Organizations; and at that point he became a direct enemy of the United States.

We never sold Saddam Hussein yellowcake uranium or WMDs; he was acquiring them on his own.

Mr. Hernandez; you are an uneducated fool, and you are spreading lies about the United States of America.

I wish more people would make the connection between all these dead Kurds and Saddam's WMDs. He used gas to kill them. GAS is a WMD. That proves he had them. There was no reason to think he'd got rid of them when we attacked Iraq. Our troops were trained and equipped to deal with it if he did. That doesn't sound like we were fooling anyone but ourselves by thinking he still had them. Why he got rid of them and didn't tell the world is something we'll never really know now that he's dead. But as far as I'm concerned, this was just one of many reasons he needed to be removed.

I believe the nature of man as a whole is starting to move away from war as an answer, but it still has a long way to go. As long as Islam exists, that long way will remain.

One of Saddam's Head honcho's I think you've heard of him: Chemical Ali. Like most generals they have various bases they work out of Habbaniyah was his. I was assigned there. And in the course of my duties around and about the camp there is to this day one building that is boarded up and no one is allowed in. I am not sure but if I remember correctly the bio hazard insignia was on the boards. Only wished I knew how to attach a picture as proof. Glad I had my digital camera during those times.
Habbaniyah was actually at one time a 1930's British settlement and a lot of the buildings are still intact. Ali even had a movie theater with propaganda murals inside. But why the bathtubs on the side. One of my Iraqi fiends who escaped Saddam's army way back as he was a Cristian Kurdish and serving in Sad mans forces Related to me how they would for dinner party entertainment, lower a poor bastard by his/hers hands bound to overhead chains or ropes and slowly lower them into acid. I would love to have taken chemical samples from those bathtubs. At least, besides pictures of everything I got away with some film strips of Iraqi footage. Probably Saddam's "Last Action Movie"
I stand corrected that would have been "Swinger" Flick; at the bottom of a rope.
    Let God judge our enemies
    We'll make the arrangements
  • I guess you guys havent done your research entirely. The U.S. sold Saddam WMD, after hey put him into power.

The truth aka connections you wish people would connect, is connecting at an alarming rate, hence global economic crisis.

Dont think too hard but something drastic is happenning for the orders of the human lords to get interrupted as you see.

Perhaps people should not think enemies exist, regardless of being safe better than sorry.

Jesus, Yaweh, Muhammed.. the spirit lives on with or without by its side and vice versa shall you live on with evil in your hearts if you choose to contain evil within your domain.

    Namaste

You have proof we sold Saddam the poison gas?

Alas, Sir W, it's true. Mr Gates was behind it. Manufactured in Paraguay for a Chilean baddie who had Gates' full backing. Hellish, isn't it?
  • SirWilhelm
Yes, that's Hellish, and sad, but only reinforces the fact that he had and was willing to use WMDs, even on people living in his own country. If we supplied the gas, then we were responsible for it's misuse, and had even more reason to go after the person responsible for it's misuse.
  • Beejj
Sir W, it's an astonishing story involving not only supply of weapons, including poison gas, to Saddam, but the laundering of drug money to pay for them. It beggars belief that Robert Gates sleeps at night, let alone survive as a honcho in US affairs. Consider Stroessner. The CIA helped put him in power, but when he agreed to cease poison gas production in Paraguay at the behest of the Israeli Government, they swiftly lent their support to Roriguez, the man who would continue its production, and Stroessner was swiftly deposed. Machiavelli does not hold a candle to Gates.
  • That's your problem. The failure to recognize evil is a terrible misjudgment, one that will only lead to death or enslavement. No, the US did not "sell WMD to Saddam". That's a typical talking point liberals like yourself use to blame America for DOING THE RIGHT THING.

Please tell me, was it right to kill so many Europeans in order to defeat Hitler? Was it a "war crime" to drop nukes on Japan even though the Emperor and his ilk had vowed to never give up even if US had to invade and occupy? You idiot liberals just don't get it. Sit back while real heros defend freedom and defend your right to state your opinion without being prosecuted. You have no grasp of history or learning from mistakes of the past. Your inability to recognize evil and the unwillingness to defend yourself is shameful.

    Indeed,SirWilhelm.The word HALABJA was forgotten...
Remember: The Kurds aren't human beings nor entitled
to have an independent state or being considered refugees.
Only the "palestinians" deserve all that and to be the SOLE
cause celébre of the worldwide public opinion..
I wonder WHY Saddam's cousin gained that funny nickname...
    CHEMICAL ALI.

    WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION:

I strongly believe that SOMEONE knows where those chemical
weapons are. They were used very 'successfully' in 1988,and I
have no reasons whatsoever to believe that Saddam and his henchmen depleted all
they got in that year against the kurdish civillians.
Something must've remained. It could've been be sold to muslim terrorists,
stashed into the desert to be used later,or could've been re-located into Syria
    or even Iran.
  • But still I see War is Not the Answer signs. They make me ill.
  • JEWHAWK
Phoebe, just because you're a good person don't think everyone else
    is.
Your freedom, right to vote, right to be elected, right to drive your car,
to marry the man you choose, divorce him if you feel you have to,to
travel alone or with your friends...

EVERYTHING you take for granted was achieved by WAR,more
precisely the World War II's VICTORY,otherwise you'd be a mere sex slave today.
  • Beejj
I think you have missed Phoebe's point, Jewhawk.
