"Iran says it tests missile, Israel within range"
  • JEWHAWK
    As usual I'll be blunt:

    MUSLIMS CAN'T HAVE NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY.

They're utterly CORRUPT,MEAN-SPIRITED and prone to misuse any
    technology.

People think that this is all about Israel.WRONG!
Muslims are plotting to CONQUER weaker nations, one by one,by threatening
to use its would-be nuclear weapons.

Indonesia will certainly bully Australia and New Zealand.
    Egypt will bully Israel.
Iran will bully the Gulf States to play with it against OPEC
    and also threat Israel.
Pakistan is on the brink of a collapse and already did transfer
nuclear technology to Libya,Syria,Egypt and North Korea.
If it was already an unreliable country, imagine under the
    Taliban...

A little research would tell you that it's not been more than a few years since it was the United States who voted against the nuclear Non Proliferation treaty at the UN, refusing to cease the production of fissionable materials despite a vote at the UN of 147 to 1.

But I suppose a large Islamic population and nuclear capabilities is a fair enough reason for an invasion. Let's add Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to the list, as well as a host of others.

    Great post.
  • uh, a little research into the motives of the Iranian leadership would speak volumes to your ignorance. Contrary to popular leftist belief, not all cultures are created equal. There are those cultures (Western democracies) who can posses nuclear weapons without fear of them being used, primarliy becuase their not in the hands of Islamic fanatics.

A country whose clearly stated their goals over and over and over and over and over again in destroying another sovereign nation should not be allowed to have these types of weapons and it's the moral obligation of the UN, America and the rest of the world to make sure this doesn't happen.

Immoral arguments like yours are what cause evil to rise up and put their mark on the rest of the world, all with a head turned the other way while evil persists until it comes knocking at your own door. Your crazy belief that peaceful nations should give up their powerful weapons is absurd.

Plus, nobody is calling for an invasion. Liberal dimwit's love to use that talking point as if it were actually true...
  • Jim
Well it's great that you don't want an invasion. We can agree on that.

But what research have you into the motives of the Iranian leadership? You mean the Iranian leadership that's been tampered with by US foreign policy since the CIA sponsored coup in 1953?

And what's my "immoral argument"? I just stated a fact.

A what about the USA is a "peaceful" nation? When was the last time Iran started war in a foreign country? War against Iraq in the 90's? Which was also assisted by the US govt?
  • SirWilhelm
What reseach is needed? Do you mean you haven't seen or heard or read about the many statements Ahmandinejad has made calling for the destruction of Israel and the US? This from a country that has countries like Iraq, Jordan, and Syria between it and Israel? The missle they just tested gives them the range to reach Israel, all they have to do is put a nuke on it. Why don't you ask them why they need a missle like that? Of course, you could just assume he doesn't mean what he says, but then you'd have to ignore that they admit they have a nuclear program, supposedly for "peaceful" purposes. Yes, we invaded Iraq, but, we succeeded in removing Saddam and establishing a democratic govt there. Maybe it could have been done better, but it's basicaly over, and we won. We probably don't have to invade Iran to remove their nuke capability, we may not even have to do it ourselves, just let Israel do it by giving our approval. It looks like they're going to do it anyway, to ensure their survival, so, are you going to tell Israel no?
  • Um, what research? Oh I don't know, the millions of pieces of information that's out there for the world to see. I guess common sense isn't so common anymore. Either that or you don't read the news.

    Start here:

I don't care about your wild, conspiracy blame America argument. There's o doubt the US is imperfect. The CIA represents what's in the best interest of the country. That's why they exist. There were times when the CIA helped people who ultimately were bad people in the end (helping Stalin in WW2, helping Islamic radicals fight the Soviet Union, helping Iraq fight Iran). All these scenarios were such that had to be decided by the US at that time to advance the interests of America. Plain and simple. Is the US image tarnished from some regretful decisions? Sure, but look at the other side. America is the one shining light in a world of totalitarianism, communism, marxisn, fascism and terrorism, and there's been no country who's shed more blood for the cause of human freedom. Don't lecture me with mistakes we've made in the past. For every mistake I can give you 10 GOOD things the US has done for good in this world.

When was the last time Iran started a war? I don't know about you, but plotting, planning, attacking and killing our soldiers in Iraq, in my opinion, is an act of war as well as the opinion of the ranking commander General David Petraeus. Iran is also the number one state sponsor of terror which is undisputed on either side of the political aisle.

It's so easy to look at mistakes that have been made in the interest of the US, but your unwillingness to see the overwhelming good this country has done for the rest of the world, or the simple values of freedom, liberty, and the Constitutional Republic that was put in place by the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution shows your lack of knowledge of why the USA is exceptional.
