Bangladeshi muslim mob attacks Christian Evangelists

Another day, another Christian beaten senselessly by a mob of muslims.

BANGLADESH: MUSLIM VILLAGERS BEAT EVANGELISTS IN SOUTHEAST

Nearly four months later, Christian worker still suffering nerve damage.

FULGAZI, Bangladesh, June 1 (Compass Direct News) – Nearly four months after Muslim villagers in this southeastern Bangladesh sub-district furiously beat two evangelists for showing the “Jesus Film,” one of the Christians is still receiving treatment for nerve damage to his hip. Christian Life Bangladesh worker Edward Biswas, 32, was admitted to Alabakth Physiotherapy Centre on May 5. Dr. Mohammad Saifuddin Julfikar told Compass that injuries Biswas sustained from the Feb. 8 attack in Feni district, some 150 kilometers (93 miles) southeast of Dhaka, had led to neurological complications in his hip. “His hip joint was displaced, and one bone in the hip was fractured,” Julfikar said. Biswas told Compass that he and 21-year-old Dolonmoy Tripura first showed the film on Feb. 7 in a home in Chandpur village. The next evening, some villagers told them to show the film at their home; suspecting a trap, the two evangelists resisted. “They took us to a schoolyard, where we showed the ‘Jesus Film’ under tremendous compulsion,” Biswas said. “After showing 20 minutes of the first reel of the film, Muslim villagers again started beating us as we were lying on the ground. They punched and kicked us.” While 15 to 20 Muslims struck them, approximately 200 others present for the screening looked on, he said.

    I think Muslims should have killed Edward Bishwas. I would like if all the Talibans destroy the Christians, then the whole world would be covered with Islamic states. No christians should live in muslim majority countries. It is my request to all Muslim countries' presidents or kings, specially Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, etc. I would very much happy if all christans would be killed in muslim majority countries by their countriy's law. Christian countries should be turned into muslim countries. Thank you.

    Does this horrific beating really surprise anyone? Violence is predominant in the Muslim world(and in their religion). Is this really what we want for our society? They are filled with hatred for anyone that is different.

    We've all been aware of the Sudan/Darfur conflict and the horrible abuses of Christians there.

    Were you aware that the Bosnia conflict was payback for Muslim atrocities (muslim SS units)? I don't/didn't agree with Serbian genocidal tactics but some have argued that the history of the conflict was underreported. Were you aware that the Karen guerrilla movement in Myanmar has a Christian component (fighting the oppression of 'buddhist' government)? Christians are oppressed everywhere, they need to wake up from their insular western digs.

    It doesn't matter who invented what when.The fact is once islam took hold all development in that region stagnated for a thousand years.Israel has achieved more in sixty years than her neighbours have in hundreds.

    Oh, and I'm fully aware of the huge resistance to secularization in the muslim world, and that islam as such doesn't allow for a secular society, but neither does judaism, and cristianity also has its set of laws. (some of which are actually still present in western european countries). So my point is, the societies are the problem, not the actual religions.

    I don't understand how the laws of Judaism and Christianity are resisitng secularization? I'm not aware of any Western European country that is not already secularized. Do you mean there are laws based on Biblical laws, like the Ten Commandments in their law codes? If so, yes, most Western law is based on Biblical law, but very much modified as to be unrecognizable. More important is the way the law is administered in the West, and that is completely secularized, and even religion has to abide by it. Although, Islam and it's followers are trying to change that, if you hadn't noticed. Islam is trying to convert the West and the rest of the world to their way of life, sharia law and theocratic government. So, the societies are the problem, they hate ours and want to replace it with theirs.

    Yes, the numbers are an indian invention, but they we're spread and put to use by arabs, who also added the decimal notation. Geometry might have been invented by the greeks, but analytical geometry is a muslim invention, and the bulk of trigonometry we certantly owe to the arabs/persians. By modern agriculture I'm reffering to the globalization established by muslims, and how as a result plants from one part of the world were spread. Optics might not have been invented, but was certantly reformed and put to use by muslims. Modern science might by from newton and gallileo, but the foundation of that was the ancient greeks and muslims.
    And besides, wonders such as capitalism and the free market we're first seen in muslim societies, although they're not really present there today.

    And the often repeated argument about nobel prizes is really void. If nobel prizes we're awarded during the middle ages, almost all would've gone to the muslim world.

    It's true that muslim countries don't contribuite much today, but my point is that islam is not the problem, the strict religious societies are. If the muslim societies we're to turn secular, alot could be achieved.

    The only reason there was any enlightenment in the early Muslim caliphates was because of what was left over in the conquered, subdued, and enslaved populations. Mulsims burned the library at Alexander in 647 AD, that's how enlightened they were. I don't know where you get your info, but you need to cite sources if you're going to claim things like capitalism and the free market were first seen in Muslim societies.

    I'll agree with one thing, in a way, most Noble Prizes are meaningless today, they're peer related rewards for conformity.

    Well, name me another "strict religious societies" that aren't Muslim? And why don't they turn secular? Could it be because you'd be beaten or even killed if you tried to turn them?

    Your knowledge of science and its history are laughable. Name me top scientists of Muslim/Arab persuasion since 1500. Name me these Middle Age Muslim scientists and tell me their achievements. Muslim countries don't contribute much to-day BUT ISLAM IS NOT THE PROBLEM????? Are you out of your mind? Muslim societies turn secular? That's what we infidels want. Boy oh boy!!!!

    How do you propose we do without numbers, algebra, trigonomentry, geometry, modern agriculture, hospitals, globalization, wind power, steam power, use of fossil fuels, clocks, the whole concept of science and the scientific method, chemistry, optics and lot, lot more, all of which have been established and created by islamic scientist?

    So-called Arabic numerals are an Indian invention, as is chess. Trigonometry and geometry we owe to the Greeks. How "modern" is your modern agriculture? Wind power? Amplify, please. Steam power - James Watt was Arab, was he? Did the Arabs know about coal? Enlighten me about the Arab invention of clocks. Yes, the ancient Arabs gave us alchemy (not chemistry) and algebra and achieved much in astronomy, but to say they gave us the scientific method is an outright lie. Science as we understand it was the creation mainly of Galileo and Newton THE big optics gun).

    I can give you the names of about 60 Jewish Nobel Laureates for physics alone. Give me just 5 Muslims who have achieved this, despite Muslims outnumbering Jews by God knows how many to one. The more Islam exerts its grip on the Arab mind, the fewer are their achievements. Arab science? Nothing but a fossil.

    We should have no evangelists in foreign countries.Like-wise no Mullah,Mufti or any other class of Mo preacher should be permitted in the west.I think that would be a fair trade.We will just have to evolve without their help.lol..
