Camera phones seized from female teachers, schoolgirls
By Muham

DAMMAM – Women teachers and schoolgirls in Al-Ahsa were taken aback by a surprise inspection tour of their schools and the confiscation of their camera phones by the Eastern Province’s General Administration for Education.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Milhim, Director of Girls’ Education Administration in Al-Ahsa, said these inspection tours came after the administration had received a number of complaints from the guardians of schoolgirls and women teachers regarding violations taking place in schools including the taking of pictures by some female students and teachers.
Al-Milhim pointed out that education inspectors confiscated the camera phones of schoolgirls and women teachers in schools. He added that only camera phones having women’s pictures were destroyed. However, camera phones that did not contain any violating pictures were handed back to the guardians of the female owners of the phones after making the women and schoolgirls sign a pledge not to violate the regulations.
Al-Milhim added that if schoolgirls and women teachers are caught in possession of camera phones, the penalty for the student might be dismissal from school while a deduction would be made from the salary of the teacher. He stressed that all must abide by the regulations.
Al-Milhim said his administration would continue to carry out inspection tours. He warned against camera phones being taken into girls’ schools in order to protect the interests and rights of both teachers and students

If they remain occupied with such trivial crap, at least they aren't meddling in anything more serious. The fact that they are dealing with such a thing and making a big deal about it demonstrates how very fearful they are of loosing even the smallest measure of control. No wonder all the Saudis I ever met looked like pussies to me. Pitiful bastards.

I think you gentlemen are so right. So called logic that defies logic and micromanaging a system about to boil over BECAUSE WE'RE STILL OUT THERE and they know as long as freedom persists they have an opponent to their oppression.

We should keep in mind that when Muslims say things like "islam liberates women" they really believe it, from their point of view. Take this case of the confiscated phones for example. By confiscating their phones and destroying those with women's pictures, they were saving and protecting them from breaking the regulations and therefore sinning. In other words, "liberating" them from sin, and saving their souls. Of course, the teachers that had pictures were sinning by taking them, so their "intersts and rights" had to be protected too. This is the kind of "logic" we're dealing with. It leads to women being covered from head to toe, to save them from sinning by tempting men, and the men from sinning in their minds by lusting for the "meat". The "soul" is too important to leave in your own hands, they'll make the choices for you, and Allah will be pleased. They and we will all be slaves to Allah.
