Obamanation: Miranda rights for terrorists

News that came out yesterday…

Unbelievable as much as it is crazy…The Obama administration is granting Miranda rights to detainees in Afghanistan. 

Weekly Standard reports:

[T]he Obama Justice Department has quietly ordered FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high value detainees captured and held at U.S. detention facilities in Afghanistan, according a senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee.

“The administration has decided to change the focus to law enforcement. Here’s the problem. You have foreign fighters who are targeting US troops today – foreign fighters who go to another country to kill Americans. We capture them…and they’re reading them their rights – Mirandizing these foreign fighters,” says Representative Mike Rogers, who recently met with military, intelligence and law enforcement officials on a fact-finding trip to Afghanistan.

Rogers, a former FBI special agent and U.S. Army officer, says the Obama administration has not briefed Congress on the new policy…

    The best way to deal with liberals is to ignore their stupidities....which , admittedly, are a constant and continuous avalanche based in ignorance. The next best way is to tell them to STFU and go away. All this crap will mean to a combat troop (unless he is under orders to capture and not kill one) is to waste all of them without even attampting to be more gentle. We (in my war) never took prisoners until we were offered 3 day passes to the rear for each dink we turned in alive. Let the libtards whine, zap 'em all.

    Whether this is legal, or constitutional, or not, I can not understand WHY Obama wants to extend these rights to enemy combatants captured on the field of battle. As I see it, it's either insane, or a calculated method of weakening our fighting capability on the front lines. An indirect way of giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Treason, as I see it.

  • Still, you had a good idea. It makes this whole evil scheme look even more stupid if possible. I don't think the control freak jerk Obama could look any more stupid if he tried. Brainless!     No, it is not funny at all. There appears to be a consensus regarding the Muslim cultural respect for strength. Mirandizing does not communicate strength in a war zone. It would have been stupid if we'd mirandized nazis, it is stupid now.

    "You have the right to remain STUPID. Anything you say OR THINK can and will be used against you in a court of GOD"S law. You have the RESPONSIBILITY to HAVE a CONSCIENCE during questioning. If you cannot afford a CONSCIENCE, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights?" Just kidding of course. Did anyone think that such a good thing would be put to such pointless use?
