As Citizens of Iran are dying in the streets of Tehran, Obama makes another WEAK statement

PATHETIC…

iran-woman-shot

NEW YORK CITY (BNO NEWS) “The Iranian government must understand that the world is watching. We mourn each and every innocent life that is lost. We call on the Iranian government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people. The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights.

As I said in Cairo, suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away. The Iranian people will ultimately judge the actions of their own government. If the Iranian government seeks the respect of the international community, it must respect the dignity of its own people and govern through consent, not coercion.

Martin Luther King once said – “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” I believe that. The international community believes that. And right now, we are bearing witness to the Iranian peoples’ belief in that truth, and we will continue to bear witness.”

President Hussein only have guts to criticize Israel. It's MUCH
EASIER than do the same against North Korea,Iran,China,Russia
    and Venezuela.

    Thanks,America...
  • That is because Obama is a weakling himself, a mama's boy, hiding behind his counterfeit birth certificate with no balls of his own. Hitler had only one dried up ball, and looks like America has a usurper that is even a bigger sissy. Obama doesn't care about any one or any thing but himself, Hello! He wants to be world leader, but hasn't got what it takes, he will fail as he has no voice but must do what he is told, by his $$$$ backers. Wishy washy as hell it self. Yes Sir William: Obama is a closet Muslim, among other things. The devil is in the details, as always. Every "Dick" tator has his day, and Obama's day is coming. It is written. God laughs at the wicked, knowing his day is coming, me too. Yes it is bad people are dying, but this was to be expected, you can't be an evil 'dick'tator for long, people will not put up with this crap forever, history proves that out. Iran will self destruct, so will the Obamanation of desolation. All are evil greedy losers! A NO win/win situation.

Please excuse my profound ignorance on this subject, I feel badly that people are dying this way and that they are treated this way, but Mousavi is a bad person too? We have one side that is bad and should be taken out of power and the other side that is protesting and should not get into power. Iran is our enemy, no matter what side is in power? I am ex-military and if your enemy is fighting with bad people then who really cares? Let them kill each other and we can then deal with the aftermath. In our world today, we have factions fighting with each other all the time, that does not mean we should step in, nor do we….If you do not believe this then just look to Africa or the many other places in the world.
I think if Mousavi was different then Aqmadinnerjacket or whatever his name is, then by all means lets step in. It just does not matter unless we take out the people leading the country instead of the puppet presidents. I think we should finish in Iraq and Afghanistan, deal with NorK and then see how this plays out. This is typical hand wringing from both sides of the isle and the real business at hand gets pushed under the rug.
  • So only support the free election process if the candidates meet our standard? I disagree.

I'm not saying the US should step in. I don't think anyone here is. All I'm saying is support the process of free and fair elections. Support the people's rights to choose who leads them.

Is Mousavi just as bad? You betcha, but that's not the point. Like you said, if our enemy is our enemy, then who cares right? Let them CHOOSE. They will be dealt with the same.

Plus this whole process is exposing Obama as weak and appeasing trying to play both sides of the fence.

I know Mousavi may be just as bad, but that doesn't change my view that the Iranian people should have the right to choose, even if it is another Islamofascist in power.

Plus I think this has grown beyond Mousavi. There's either going to be a full blown revolution or a major massacre silencing any and all opponents.

see me recent post about the Iranian protester: "Iranian protester: “We don’t deny the Holocaust. We do accept Israel’s rights”"http://infidelsarecool.com/2009/06/22/iranian-protester-we-dont-deny-the-holocaust-we-do-accept-israels-rights/

I do not believe this was a free election nor could you prove that the protestors would be any different.
As far as Standards, certainly we should set some standards. If we are going to help a person like Pol Pot, Hitler or Hussein get in because it is a free election, then we should set standards.
I think that response that Obama has given is pathetic.
If there is a Full Blown Revolution then by all means let’s direct it or massage it in our favor. However, lets not spread ourselves to thin. Lets finish where we are and then move to this. If we were to get involved in Iran and North Korea rears its UGLY head then what? Four different fronts with an ineffectual weakling leading the way….
It is a hard place to be. Perhaps another time…
I would rather be too cautious then reckless.

A simple explanation of BHO's weakness is that he is a Muslim sympathizer, if not a closet Muslim as many suspect. As such, there is no way he is going to take a strong stance against the Iranian Muslim theocracy. Too simple to believe?
  • There´s no forgiven for a weak mind
  • Christine_S
Right! The Iranian government has always given a crap how they are viewed by the international community. Khamenei ended his Friday prayers by inciting the chants of "Death to England", "Death to America" and "Death to Israel". Certainly sounds like he's seeking respect . I'm sure Obama's "strong" words are bound to make the Ayatollah think twice about his next move.

Valerie Jarret is one of Obama's closest advisers. She was born in Iran. What is her perspective on this. We see that another cleric has advised Obama not to interfere and that the Iranian people can do this themselves. What to think?
  • SirWilhelm
Is this Jarret another clue to BHO's Muslim sympathies? I think he's a closet Muslim.
