India: Father Beheads Daughter to Protect “Family Honor”

It never gets old hearing about these savage acts.  Oh and btw, out of the hundreds of honor killings we’ve reported on here at IAC, they all seem to have one common detail…Islam.

In a suspected honour killing, a man allegedly beheaded his daughter who was insisting on marrying her lover in Rampur district.

Shaukat Saifi was arrested after he allegedly beheaded his daughter Naseem with a sharp edged weapon yesterday in village Krimcha, about 250 km from here, police said.

While Naseem wanted to marry Yasin, a resident of the same village, her father was opposed to the alliance, they said.

    This diabolical death cult would give the Aztecs a run for their money.If the shame is so unbearable why do they not just kill themselves?Hari Kari would be a more noble solution.It goes to show that these cave men have no honour and cowardice is the order of the day.Honour killings(I choke every time I use that expression)are the result of the ugliest,most reprehensible form of peer pressure there is.The scary and sad thing is that this troglodyte's friends probably sit around drinking their tea and sympathise with the "poor fellow".The deep space quietude of the feminists on this subject is also alarming.I truly believe the treatment of women in these back-waters goes to the heart of the entire Islamic problem.If there is any hope for an enlightenment or reformation of Islam(I suspect there isn't)then it must begin with the right of women to lead free and dignified lives.The most sadistic demons in hell could not have given birth to something as horrorfying as a father severing the head of his own daughter.I feel sick to the very pits of my stomach.My vocabulary isn't advanced enough to adequately describe how this makes me feel.
