I knew I smelled a rat…I was right to think that either outcome in those elections meant the same theocratic state policy. That conclusion based on the fact that the real power will always remain in power – the hard line clerics. Too bad their hard line is about to get broken.

Of course your standard of “good” will probably be defined under the grips of Islamic Sharia so your opinion is rendered useless if that's the case.

Wow Maggie. I am going to do some research into that awful quote about not one good Islamic leader. Those attributes you mentioned can't be found in half our politicians or our former leaders George Bush Jr.(his dad was at least smart) & Dick Cheney.

I think you made a lot of good points. Hearing this information from an honorable man like retired Navy Admiral James “Ace” Lyons gives it more credibility than say Dick Cheney bringing this info to the surface. We are witnessing a huge change in Iran & I wonder if the Intelligence Community dropped the ball again.

The people of Iran have no choices. Perhaps the Mullahs know that somehow Moussavi has mellowed. His wife campaigned with him, and spoke at every campaign event – unheard of in Iran. She is an active professor. The two have been photographed holding hands – unheard of in Iran. She rebels by wearing a headscarf adorned with flowers. They have 3 daughters. Maybe something in the country would be better for the women.

I knew that Moussavi was a very cruel prime minister, but didn't think about the Marine Barracks bombings in that time period. The thing is, there is not one good, honorable, loving, decent, humane Islamic leader anywhere in the world. The people must be blind and deaf, but I know they are not dumb.
