Radical Islamic preacher Abu Izzadeen has been sent back to jail after breaching the terms of his release.
Izzadeen, otherwise known as Trevor Brooks, gained notoriety four years ago when he heckled the then home secretary John Reid at a public meeting.
The 34-year-old was jailed last year for four and a half years for inciting terrorism, but was released in May after having his sentence reduced on appeal.
The prison sentence was given after Izzadeen was caught encouraging worshippers at London’s Regent’s Park mosque to fight British and American troops in Iraq.
He defended his actions by arguing that British Muslims have “no other weapon than [their] tongue” to fight against a perceived “massacre” of Muslims by British and American forces in Iraq.
He has been recalled to jail after violating the conditions of his release relating to good behaviour, prison sources said.
