Family of dead American-Somali terrorist wonders: Who radicalized our son?

Gee, I wonder.  Could it have anything to do with…dare I say…Islam?

(CNN) – The family of a Somali-American man who died in Somalia have said they want to know who is responsible for recruiting him to join an al Qaeda-linked Islamist insurgency.

Jamal Bana is the third Somali-American from the city of Minneapolis to head to Somalia and die there. He is one of more than a dozen missing Somali-American men whose families believe have gone back to fight.

“Someone must have put something in his mind,” Omar Jamal of Minneapolis’ Somali Justice Advocacy Center said at a Sunday news conference with Bana’s family.

“He must have been somewhat disillusioned and indoctrinated because he didn’t have any clue about Somalia at all. So someone somewhere must be responsible for his disappearance.”

Will we ever get to a point where we have the political courage to call a spade a spade? There is a HUGE problem within the Muslim community that nobody wants to address.  It’s only up to Muslims themselves, if some of them truly are non-violent and freedom loving (that’s a stretch in and of itself), to stand up against those in their own community and fight back against the groups that are actually willing to take up Islamic terror activities.

This would, of course, require that Muslim communities cooperate with authorities in investigating and rooting out these terrorist networks.  A big problem with that though, is you have mainstream Islamic groups like CAIR and MAS who are openly telling Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI.

What a mess.

    I wonder if they considered the imam at their home-mosque? Isn't that just like muslims though. Blame everything and everybody but islam and fellow muslims.

    Very true and scary statement. And it has everything to do with Islam. I know how they recruit people. I had a muslem family living next to me for a while who tried to get me into Islam. They scoop you up and try to spoon feed positive, peaceful crap about Islam in the beginning. As time goes by the feedings get more intense and militant leaning. They didn't get me though. I do so wish I could say the same about those who follow Islam, as I do about blacks and other minorities. "They aren't all bad!" I cant say that about muslems though. I really don't believe any of them are truly peaceful people. Eventually their indoctrination will come out.

    Infidel, I would like you to read this blog from another site I read all the time. There is a video there that will stun you. It shows just how you get treated if you are perceived to be against Islam.
