As Radical Islamists hold a conference in Chicago, American Muslim community is silent

Muslims want to be respected in America, yet they do nothing to gain respect…Where the hell is the outrage about this from American Muslim groups?

The conference is titled “The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam”.

Gee, can’t be much more clear about your groups intent…

Silence by Muslim groups tells Americans they are complicit.

A group committed to establishing an international Islamic empire and reportedly linked to Al Qaeda is stepping up its Western recruitment efforts by holding its first official conference in the U.S.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is a global Sunni network with reported ties to confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda in Iraq’s onetime leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. It has operated discreetly in the U.S. for decades.

Now, it is coming out of the shadows and openly hosting a July 19 conference entitled, “The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam,” at a posh Hilton hotel in a suburb of Chicago.

Hizb ut-Tahrir insists that it does not engage in terrorism, and it is not recognized by the State Department as a known terror group.

But some terrorism experts say it may be even more dangerous than many groups that are on the terror list.

“Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of the oldest, largest indoctrinating organizations for the ideology known as jihadism,” Walid Phares, director of the Future of Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told FOXNews.com.

Phares said that Hizb ut-Tahrir, rather than training members to carry out terrorist acts like Al Qaeda, focuses instead on indoctrinating youths between ages of 9 and 18 to absorb the ideology that calls for the formation of an empire — or “khilafah” — that will rule according to Islamic law and condones any means to achieve it, including militant jihad….

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is one of the group’s most famous alumni, New Statesman journalist Shiv Malik reported, citing intelligence sources. In addition to plotting the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, he also is implicated in the World Trade Center bombing of 1993, the Bali nightclub bombings and the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl….

But one place the group will likely not be recruiting is a local Islamic school that backed out of hosting the conference.

The non-profit Aqsa school in Bridgeview said Hizb ut-Tahrir had deceptively portrayed the conference as a bazaar-type event where traditional food and clothing would be sold.

“They misrepresented themselves and the event. We don’t want to be in the middle of something like that,” the school’s business manager Rana Jaber, told CBS News.

The conference’s new venue doesn’t seem to mind.

Hilton Oak Lawn General Manager Rick Harmon said Hizb ut-Tahrir used its own name when it reserved the room for the conference, but the hotel was not aware of the content of the event, which includes lectures entitled “Capitalism is Doomed to Fail,” “The Global Rise of Islam,” and the “Role of Muslims in America,” until after the contract was signed.

Still, Harmon said the hotel is open to all kinds of meetings, that don’t necessarily reflect its position or beliefs.

“We’re United States citizens and an American business — if it’s legal, we’re able to host it, as long as it’s nothing that disrupts our other guests’ privacy and security,” Harmon told FOXNews.com….

A message to all you half-decent Muslims out there living in America.  You’ll never gain respect until you march the streets protesting these kind of radical groups.  You can’t just “dismiss” it as a few radical people.  these are organized groups, actively working to do or say whatever it takes to advance their political Islamist agenda.  I will forever remain suspicious of Muslims until the get off their asses and show me they care about preserving liberty in America and protecting our Constitution.

    The demand for Muslim schools comes from parents who want their children a safe environment with an Islamic ethos.Parents see Muslim schools where children can develop their Islamic Identity where they won't feel stigmatised for being Muslims and they can feel confident about their faith.
    Muslim schools are working to try to create a bridge between communities.

    There is a belief among ethnic minority parens that the British schooling does not adequatly address their cultural needs. Failing to meet this need could result in feeling resentment among a group who already feel excluded. Setting up Muslim school is a defensive response.

    State schools with monolingual teachers are not capable to teach English to bilingual Muslim children. Bilingual teachers are needed to teach English to such children along with their mother tongue. According to a number of studies, a child will not learn a second language if his first language is ignored.

    Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. Muslims
    have the right to educate their children in an environment that suits their culture. This notion of "integration", actually means "assimilation", by which people generally really mean "be more like me". That is not
    multiculturalism. In Sydney, Muslims were refused to build a Muslim school, because of a protest by the residents. Yet a year later, permission was
    given for the building of a Catholic school and no protests from the residents. This clrearly shows the blatant hypocrisy, double standards and racism. Christians oppose Muslim schools in western countries yet build
    their own religious schools.

    British schooling and the British society is the home of institutional racism. The result is that Muslim children are unable to develop self-confidence and self-esteem, therefore, majority of them leave schools with low grades. Racism is deeply rooted in British society. Every native child is born with a gene or virus of racism, therefore, no law could change the attitudes of racism towards those who are different. It is not only the common man, even member of the royal family is involved in racism. The
    father of a Pakistani office cadet who was called a "***" by Prince Harry has profoundly condemned his actions. He had felt proud when he met the Queen and the Prince of Wales at his son's passing out parade at Sandhurst
    in 2006 but now felt upset after learning about the Prince's comments. Queen Victoria invited an Imam from India to teach her Urdu language. He was highly respected by the Queen but other members of the royal family had no respect for him. He was forced to go back to India. His protrait is still in one of the royal places.

    There are hundreds of state schools where Muslim pupils are in majority. In my opinion, all such schools may be designated as Muslim community schools with bilingual Muslim teachers. There is no place for a non-Muslim child or a teacher in a Muslim school.

    You are in a western country with your children because your own country is inferior. You were not able to survive economically, socially, politically. You came to take advantage of the superiority of the West. If the West were not superior you would not be here; this cannot be denied; your own behavior affirms it. Clearly the logical thing to do is to have your children educated to be able to take advantage of the Western values which have produced the conditions that your own country failed to produce. You should show a litle gratitude. If you were in your country, you and your children would not be able to even eat, much less get a good education at the expense of the state. How dare you make demands?

    Not only are we not going to give you your own system with which to reproduce the Islamic culture which deadens all creativity and life, we insist that you assimilate. If you abuse your girls, we will put you in jail and take them away. If you try to prevent them from getting an education, we will apply the same laws to you as to everyone else. You will assimilate or go to jail. Or leave. You should be deported.

    If you want to make the country repect you, do it by deeds of goodness and productivity. Invent something. Innovate. Invest. Do good works. Solve a problem. Be a good neighbor. Whining and making demands to continue a life of hatred and separatism will only cause you to receive the contempt you deserve. If you are superior, make us aware of it by your greatness, not but you willingness to kill and malign those with a nation so superior to your own that you traveled half a world to get here.

Maybe when you get your mind off of annihilating others and feeling worthless unless you are forcing other people to accept Mohammad, you might discover that you have a mind and soul of your own. You are a man. You have a brain and creativity and strength for good if you will take it. And sometimes you may have to stand alone.l You may have to question your beliefs and be brutally honest with yourself. And then you will have to play the part of a man. You can do this. Maybe you came to the West to discover that you are the gold. Don't live life screaming. Think.
    Did you know that some of our greatest Americans were immigrants? Some of our most inventive and frankly, richest Americans, were immigrants. Their willingness to try new things and to take risks to grow and produce made them wealthy. You are not as low as you think. Ditch the ideas and the old hatreds that hold you back. You have a decision to make. Be your own man and not a cog in the Islam machine. Why should your life and youth be poured out for some mullah's ambition to dominate others. Did you ever think of influencing others with your ability and good character? Gratitude, humility and a spirit of adventure will help you make the change. Kindness is good. Try it out. Choose life. You can do this.

    The "Islamic ethos" includes Totalitarian Islamic Sharia Law which violates the laws of our American Declaration of Independence and Constitution. We will not accept totalitarian laws whether Atheist/Communist, Pagan/Nazi or Islamo-Fascist. The "Islamic ethos" also includes mass-murdering Islamic Jihad. We will not accept murder; rather we will wage just war, both kinetic and political, against your "Islamic ethos."

    What you say would be well and good if Islam was a real religion that taught the peace, love, and equality you claim it does. The reality we see is one that restricts the peace and love to Muslims only, and as Kal El points out, that too is hypocritical in it's practice in many Muslim countries. It's also a lie in it's treatment of women as second class citizens with only half the rights or standings of males. Then there's the philosophies advocating the superiority of Islam over everything, democracy, capitalism, and all other religions that leads to the teaching of every way conceivable to subvert and overthrow them. Islam makes itself the enemy of all infidels then procedes to try and subvert and overwhelm through schools like this. There is every reason to reject them and you.

    The reason the Aussies did not protest the Catholic school is because
    Catholic schools are not known for training jihadis to become suicide
    bombers, nor do Catholic schools (at least none I have heard of in my
    lifetime) double as armories for jihad.

    live. No one is forcing muslims to live in the West.

    You want to talk about racism? How about the slavery still practiced by
    Arabs in the muslim world? Mauritania still has over half a million slaves.
    As for the Saudis, Kuwaitis, Emiratis, Etc... They lure in unsuspecting
    people with the promise of a high paying job, then force them to work 14
    hours a day, withholding their passports until they pay the debt they
    incurred to get to which ever islamic country they travel to. I personally
    know several, from the Philippines and Lebanon, who have been duped in this
    manner. They are treated as less than second class citizens, many even
    muslim, because they hail from Bangladesh, Indonesia, the Philippines,
    etc... Is that not racism?

    Hey, numbnuts, I said they are lied to about the job. I have friends who have been promised good jobs, and private accomodation, only to have it turn out to be a 14 hour a day job, living in a 4 bedroom apartment with 13 roommates, in Dubai.

    As for segregation being the situation in the US today, how do you explain a black President? When you remove your head from your ass, then you can join the grown ups in the conversation, ok?

    laws in America. But I wonder if the Oak Lawn Hilton would have booked a

    It will never happen,Infidelesto.The "half decent muslims"will never say anything unless it is a half-hearted semi-apology on television with more than enough excuses, demands and hard-done-bys thrown in to compensate for any acknowledgement of fault.The fact is,on form,they have never slain the bully.The evidence is clear.There is nothing that remotely resembles democracy in the muslim world.If they haven't been prepared to fight for the liberation of their own children for time immemorial then I can't see them saying anything to upset the imams and protect the future of infidel children who are really no concern of theirs.
    Moderate,Radical...it's all islam.All sects of islam are codependent.It's like that Married With Children song,"you can't have one without the other".

    Deep down I know you're right. I'm just trying to hold onto one last sliver of hope for the Muslim community in America. It's sad cause I live in a densely populated Muslim community in Irvine, Ca and I have neighbors close by who are decent people, at least on the outside. There are also less than a handful of Muslim groups in America who are actively fighting against political Islam and defending Western freedom which I find to be just a little hopeful although they are SUCH a minority it's hard to believe those groups will ever hold any solid weight in the mainstream American Muslim community

    Gimmie a break John. The muz community has had all the opportunities in the world to stand up and say "this is BS!" and they haven't taken it. When some small effort is made, they get quashed by their own by violence and intimidation. When I was in Detroit last winter, my friends were still telling me to "watch what I say around muz". That really pissed me off because muz may scare them, but they sure don't scare me. Muz are pussies! Too much of the "I don't want trouble" or "I don't want to get involved." The feelings are there, among the arabs in the Christian part of that area, but nobody wants to "step up" because of the reprisal danger. And that is certainly real. One on one, the muz are quiet and restrained....but when they have a gang vs. one guy....different story. It boils down to...it will all eventually end, one way or another, in violence. I'm absolutely sure of that. Lock and load, let's rock and roll!

    The previous administration WAS concerned about their sedition, not enough in my opinion, but more than the present administration, which is more concerned about RIGHT WING extremism, which has been around for a long time, but never been much more than a nuisance, with the possible exception of the bombing of a federal building. We haven't had anything major during the present administration, so far, but, it was 9 months into the first term of the previous administration before the major event, as we all know. With things like this conference going on, it seems inevitable to me.
