Gotta get them young, so they can more easily be indoctrinated into jihad,, and hatred of non-muslims.

400 children still in Taliban camps, claim escapees

LAHORE: Some of the boys who escaped from Taliban camps in Swat have claimed that as many as 400 children were still kept at the camps, a Los Angeles Times report reveals.

The paper quotes a 14-year-old boy as saying he was kidnapped by masked men and taken to a training camp set up at an abandoned girls school. As part of their training, the boy said, he and scores of other boys ran for 2 1/2 hours a day and listened to trainers speak of the glory of holy war. He said, “They said we shouldn’t let anyone stop us. If our parents stood in the way, we were told we could kill them.” He said some of the boys had volunteered to join the camps. The boy was one of the four Pakistan Army officials produced before reporters. The officials say there are more than 100 such boys at the Taliban training camps.

The army believes the boys were part of the recruitment by the Taliban when militants held sway over the Swat valley until May.

Trained: Major Nasir Khan said some of the youths were being trained as scouts to report on the movements of troops. Others would be trained to fight. He said the five boys he met with had told him they were abducted. Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed said nine youths he interviewed, had all told him they were lured by promises of “good food and a good living”. He said the boys he spoke with became disillusioned and escaped after three weeks.

Although none of the boys interviewed said they were being trained as suicide bombers, the general said that some of them could have eventually been trained for the purpose. Would-be suicide bombers captured by police or troops have talked of extensive indoctrination.

None of the boys would give their names. A 16-year-old said he was playing with two friends in the village of Chuprial when two masked militants accosted them, accusing them of trespassing on Taliban land. They were blindfolded and taken to a camp where about 150 other boys were being trained. At the camp, he said, food was scarce. The recruits had to wake up before sunrise for morning prayers, and then run up and down the hillsides.

Jihadi desperation is an ugly thing. There is a special place in hell reserved for these animals who would abuse the minds and bodies of children.
