Iran: 30 converts from Islam to Christianity arrested in police raid

Gotta crackdown on those damn apostates!

LOS ANGELES, August 11 (Compass Direct News) – Amid a violent crackdown on protestors and a purge of opponents within the Iranian government, more than 30 Christians were arrested in the last two weeks near Tehran and in the northern city of Rasht.

Two waves of arrests near Tehran happened within days of each other, and while most of those detained – all converts from Islam – were held just a day for questioning, a total of eight Christians still remain in prison.

On July 31 police raided a special Christian meeting 25 kilometers (15 miles) north of Tehran in the village of Amameh in the area of Fashan. A Compass source said about 24 Christians, all converts from Islam, had gathered in a private home. In the afternoon police squads in both plain clothes and uniform raided and arrested everyone present.

“Many people stormed the villa, and in the same day they took everything,” said the source, a Christian Iranian who requested anonymity.

All present were taken by private car to their residences, where police took all their passports, documents, cash, CDs, computers and mobile phones, and from there to the police station.

“There were many cars so they could take each person with a car to their house from the meeting,” said the source. “Think of how many cars were there to arrest them. And they took all their books, PCs, CDs mobile phones, everything.”

    The only way that islam can continue to exist is to keep it's believers ignorant. The more erudite people become and the more they read and learn of the outside world, the more inane and infantile islam appears to them. It's very true that the koran is actually a very poorly written book, with many untruths, inaccuracies and obviously ignorant superstitions. Mohammad is exposed as a murderous ruffian when one becomes more familiar with the outside world. This is why the illiteracy rate in islamically controlled areas is higher than anywhere in the world, because the mullahs WANT it that way. For several years, the mullahs (Black robes) in Iran have been concerned with "apostasy". As the grass roots revolution in Iran progresses, so will the incidence of apostasy. The black robes are real upset with that and can only react with increased repression.....which will only cause an increased call for revolt and an overthrow of their regime there. Islam is doomed. Bye-bye mullahtards!

    I never hear or read criticism against islam in the infamous "mainstream media",but (sometimes) in FOX News.
    CNN is in the tank with the muslims.There are special programs about the Middle East which doesn't include Israel for some reason.
    BBC is much worse.They would NEVER utter any comment against muslims and islam.
    We can all be sure that SERIOUS JOURNALISM is DEAD,when it comes islam.My
    guess is that SAUDI ARABIA is so powerful that it could be the hidden force behind the media's failure to address the appalling situation created by muslims,be in
    DARFUR (ignored subject),HAMAS's brutality,IRANIAN unacceptable behavior,muslim "honor" killings throughout the globe,MUSLIM TERRORIST PLOTS ...
    BBC's HOSTILITY toward Israel is well-known.Because of this,I've stopped watching it.

    And all of this happen despite the legendary "Jewish control of the world media"...
    It must be a JOKE,for Israel is,by far,the most VILIFIED nation on Earth by the worldwide media.

    The Koran is very poorly written and organized. Islam has lots of structural problems. The Koran is supposed to be the word of God. I have felt for a long time that God could and would do a much better job.

    If Muslims are convinced that their violent religion is the only true faith, why are they so worried about people leaving Islam. Is it because they know the apostates will tell the world the truth about the opression and fear tactics they use to keep the "faithful" in line?
