Video: Suicide bomber kills 20 in Russia

One thing we can be absolutely certain about is that this has NOTHING to do with Islam.

The AP reported:

russia-suicide-bombA suicide bomber exploded a truck at a police station in Russia’s North Caucasus on Monday, killing at least 20 people and wounding about 60 others, officials said.

The bombing was the deadliest in months in the restive southern region, denting Kremlin claims that the area was stabilizing after 15 years of separatist fighting in Chechnya and violence in surrounding provinces.

The attacker rammed the gates of the Nazran city police headquarters, in Ingushetia province, and detonated his explosives as police officers were lining up for a morning check, said Svetlana Gorbakova of the regional branch of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Prosecutor General’s office.

Police had fired shots at the truck, but failed to stop it. The blast triggered a fire that raged for hours, destroying a weapons room where ammunition detonated.

Also it looks like Medvedev has axed the police chief for failing to stop the attack.

    I have great respect for certain muslim groups who do stand up and fight. There are very few, but they are out there. If only mainstream Islam could have as much courage.     btw, Kal lives in a Muslim country and I live in a strong muslim community in southern California. I have friends and neighboors and co-workers who are muslim and are nice people. nothing against them. but when you ask them about freedom of speech, liberty, American exceptionalism, why we fight and defend our values, why we criticize totalitarian ideologies, it becomes very clear why we write about the things on this blog.

    They are decent people, but they don't care enough to do anything about creeping sharia or the expansion of Islamism around the globe, or the constant persecution of women, children and non-muslims around the globe. They just don't care...but we do.

    We detest ANY ideology that propagates totalitarianism, from wherever it may be. We focus on Islam because it's the fastest growing threat to the free world. You can say all the nice things you want about Islam, but you simply don't get that the hard core Islamists are much more powerful than any half-muslim john doe who only prays 2 times a day instead of 5, who lives in the west and doesn't care all that much about radical Islam, who only speaks up when he hears people criticizing his religion yet never steps up to the plate to face the evil within his own sect.

    We want more than ever for muslims to take the reigns in this fight, but they won't do it, so that's why we are here doing this everyday.
