Ahmadinejad’s Imam speaks about Islamic way to torture, rape prisoners

“Can an interrogator rape the prisoner in order to obtain a confession?” was the follow-up question posed to the Islamic cleric.

Mesbah-Yazdi answered: “The necessary precaution is for the interrogator to perform a ritual washing first and say prayers while raping the prisoner. If the prisoner is female, it is permissible to rape through the vagina or anus. It is better not to have a witness present. If it is a male prisoner, then it’s acceptable for someone else to watch while the rape is committed.”

This reply, and reports of the rape of teen male prisoners in Iranian jails, may have prompted the following question: “Is the rape of men and young boys considered sodomy?”

Ayatollah Mesbah-Yazdi: “No, because it is not consensual. Of course, if the prisoner is aroused and enjoys the rape, then caution must be taken not to repeat the rape.”

A related issue, in the eyes of the questioners, was the rape of virgin female prisoners. In this instance, Mesbah-Yazdi went beyond the permissibility issue and described the Allah-sanctioned rewards accorded the rapist-in-the-name-of-Islam:

“If the judgment for the [female] prisoner is execution, then rape before execution brings the interrogator a spiritual reward equivalent to making the mandated Haj pilgrimage [to Mecca], but if there is no execution decreed, then the reward would be equivalent to making a pilgrimage to [the Shi'ite holy city of] Karbala.”

One aspect of these permitted rapes troubled certain questioners: “What if the female prisoner gets pregnant? Is the child considered illegitimate?”

Mesbah-Yazdi answered: “The child borne to any weakling [a denigrating term for women - ed.] who is against the Supreme Leader is considered illegitimate, be it a result of rape by her interrogator or through intercourse with her husband, according to the written word in the Koran. However, if the child is raised by the jailer, then the child is considered a legitimate Shi’a Muslim.”

The whole Q-A thing is disgusting, but it’s even more if we consider the whole range of cases, effects, etc. named by this imam in his statement. Of course, just sit down, get a good and long book and be patient, because this story is not going to be published around the world, by any means.

Today the new Iranian cabinet, named by this guy’s follower, has been backed partially. Among others named: Interpol’s searchd for Vahidi, as responsible for AMIA bombing and the first woman to be appointed as Minister, Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi, who is not by any mean, a supporter for women’s rights.

  • Well, it was published in an important Israeli newspaper, and no one has contradicted it. So until they contradict this, it's true.
    Secondly, about Quran: just the same Khomeini was an important Shia cleric, whose words were compulsory (virgins must be raped before executing a death sentence so they go to hell), at least in Iran, these words are supporting torturing suspects in Iran.
    I'm specially interested in all the crap about "torturing with cigar smoke" to people who have used violence in GITMO, while no one pays attention to this even if the tortured here are just students or intellectuals who only demonstrated against Ahmadinejad's no-victory.

    I fail to see how rape is allowable, let alone commendable, under any circumstances. For a cleric, religion, or a "god" to condone and commend rape is unbelieveable to me. Religion is supposed to be a civilizing influence, this is just barbaric. And these prisoners were their own people, fellow citizens, fellow Muslims who did nothing more but protest questionable election results, a political protest. This is another example of the lengths the psuedo religious political party called Islam will go to to protect itself. Don't bother saying anything Muslim apologists, there are no words you can say to defend this. By the way, don't bother washing after committing the rape, there is no way to wash that stain from your soul.

    We are dealing with a 6th century ideology that is unable to evolve. No wonder the Islamic world has so much anger. Once again, a major problem is sheer size. So many people have a way of living that is established and based upon this stuff that I cannot see how this war will not become much, much larger before these issues are resolved.

    P.S. The Koran is God's word, which means that it cannot change. I stand by my comment that the Koran is so poorly written and organized that it simply cannot be God's work. (Not to mention the barbarian concepts like the ideas in this article) Surely God is able to write much better than this.
