Obama's ultimatums, like his promises, are written in dust to be blown away at the slightest breeze while his name is becoming mud, not that there was any concrete basis for his perceived stature in the first place. His experience as a community organizer was no substitute for the kind of experience needed for the office of president, and his two years in the US Senate were not enough in the government, especially since he spent most of that time preparing his run for the presidency. And his education in socialism and/or communism is proving to be naive and impractical in dealing with the problems he's faced with. We're faced with having the worst president in history at the worst possible time, and many people still refuse to see it.
