It should be his decision alone that implements our military strategy which ultimately affects the security of us all. As much as I doubt Obama's ability to make the right decision, this principal must be what directs our actions. Our military leaders and Presidents have made mistakes in all our wars, and lead to our defeat in Viet Nam, but with that single exception, we have won all our wars, often when history seemed to teach we would not win. This is the real lesson we should learn from history, that we can write our own history when we make up our mind to do so, and it can be different, and better, than what has come before. Capitalism takes advantage of people. The government can run things much more effectively and 'fairly'. He believes that war is bad. (As do most of us) However, the root cause of the war today is actually our past actions in the area combined with our support of Israel. <br><br>President Obama ran and was elected on a platform of 'change'. He intends to do just that.<br><br>The hard part for me to swallow is that he will probably be successful. President Carter had also run on a platform of change and was also successful. The problem with President Carter was that the changes were not good for our country, nor were they very popular. President Obama wants to 'fundamentally' change America. The lack of progress and the road they are taking us down is causing more destruction than anyone could have imagined. Everything is getting worse not better, look around become part of the real world out here again. We need to oust everyone in our government and start over with the founding basics we were all given. This man has not cleaned up anything, he's made it worse. If he can find so much waste and save so much money and eliminate so much waste then why is he not working on that full time so that the things he thinks should be changed can be changed.
