UN Iran Ahmadinejad InterviewIranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today said that some countries have offered to supply Iran with 20% enriched uranium for use in its nuclear reactors.

“We have announced before that we are ready to hold talks with experts from other countries to buy nuclear fuel with the enrichment level of 20 percent for Tehran reactor from any country willing to supply us with such fuel, and this proposal was welcomed by different countries,” Ahmadinejad noted.

He added that Iranian experts will start talks with potential sellers within the next two weeks. Asked about an offer by the U.S. and France to supply fuel to Iran, he said, “No problem, if the Americans announce that they want to supply us with nuclear fuel, that would be a good point to us, for we want to buy fuel, and the source would make no difference to us. The United States can be a seller.”

About the French offer, Ahmadinejad stated, “Representatives of some countries have said that France is ready to supply nuclear fuel to the Tehran reactor. The issue has yet to be finalized. They (France) should officially propose it, and then we will review the offer.”

    As always with ME countries, one must expect a certain level of pure bullshit in their rhetoric. Saddam had the world convinced (even the democraps thought so and said it on the evening news, you liberal nay-saying pukes) that he had WMDs. He was BSing to scare everybody to think it was too dangerous to attack Iraq....and what was he really holding? Not too darn much. The US forces kicked his light-weight ass in seconds! The US even beat the old record (by Israel) for kicking arab ass up around their ear lobes. Who really knows where the Iranians are in nuke development. It's one thing to read a book and think one knows how, another thing to accomplish the task. Any mechanic will tell that to an engineer while he's laughing heartily.
