Report: NKorea Test-fires 5 Short-range Missiles Off East Coast

(AP) North Korea fired five short-range missiles off its east coast on Monday, a news report said, even as South Korea proposed working-level talks with its communist neighbor.

Yonhap news agency, citing an unidentified South Korean government official, said the North test-fired the missiles on Monday afternoon from its eastern coastal launch pad.

Yonhap said the North has issued a no-sail zone in an area off the east coast Oct. 10-20 _ an apparent indication it was planning missile tests.

    i'm pretty sure this story is bogus.

    because, you see, our president won the peace prize. by definition, the world is a safer place because of neville obamas efforts. thus, there were no missles fired.

    i wonder how japan and south korea feel right now.

    Israel is in a worse situation compared to South Korea and Japan.

    WHY?

    JAPAN: (127 million people)

    In the worst case scenario,let's say that North Korea perpetrates a
    nuclear attack against Nagoya (2.2 Million inhabitants) or Fukuoka
    (1.4 million inhabitants) .Tokyo will be heavily defended,but its 8.5
    million people won't be out of the woods.
    I'd say that at least 800,000 japanese would die in any of those
    cities.
    The country would go on.

    SOUTH KOREA: (50 million people)
    I really do not believe that South Korea would be targeted,but in
    any case,let's say that Busan (3,680,000 people) or Daegu
    (2,570,000 people) are attacked.I'd say that one million people
    would die.
    The country would go on.


    ISRAEL: (7,4 million people - 75,5% Jewish)

    If Iran nukes Israel,it'd be the END.The size of
    the country would make life impossible due to
    radiation.
    Tel Aviv (370,000 people) together
    with Ramat Gan (126,000 people)
    and other cities that comprises the
    Tel Aviv metropolitan area has some
    3 million people.A nuclear weapon
    would cause a HALF-HOLOCAUST
    immediately.
