Yet liberals and muslims bitch and moan when jihadis are made to play naked twister, or waterboarded.
Irish aid worker Sharon Commins endured mock executions while a hostage
The Irish aid worker held hostage for nearly four months in Sudan endured mock executions with her abductors shooting around her, she has revealed today.
Sharon Commins who was released yesterday with her Ugandan colleague Hilda Kawuki said that she was scared, stressed and anxious throughout 107 days of captivity.
The pair were snatched from the Darfur compound of the Irish aid agency Goal by an armed gang in July.
Ms Commins, 32, from Dublin said that she and Ms Kawuki, 42, helped to keep each other’s spirits up.
She said: “You could die in there of sadness, you could just die if you didn’t lift your spirits.
“It was just incredibly sad every morning. Such a heavy burden to continue.
“We definitely needed each other and we prayed together and tried to keep each other strong.”
She described the ordeal of being put through mock executions: “We’d be told to kneel on our knees and they would shoot around us.
“Obviously, the first time that happened we thought we were actually going to be shot and each time we think, OK, I hope it’s a mock, but you do never know.
“It was an extremely dangerous situation to be in.”
The pair were taken hostage when three armed men burst into Goal’s compound and forced them into the back of a van.
They were then guarded by up to 18 men, spending their time as hostages in camps on four different mountain ranges, where their only shelter was two blankets.
