More aggressive action being taken by other world powers. North Korea and Iran have also been doing this since Obama took office knowing that Obama would stand by an watch. They know the weakness of Obama and are exploiting it. Look for plenty more of this before a Hawk retakes the Office.

The armed forces are said to have carried out “war games” in which nuclear missiles were fired and troops practised an amphibious landing on the country’s coast.  Documents obtained by Wprost, one of Poland’s leading news magazines, said the exercise was carried out in conjunction with soldiers from Belarus.

The manoeuvres are thought to have been held in September and involved about 13,000 Russian and Belarusian troops.
Poland, which has strained relations with both countries, was cast as the “potential aggressor”.

The documents state the exercises, code-named “West”, were officially classified as “defensive” but many of the operations appeared to have an offensive nature.

The Russian air force practised using weapons from its nuclear arsenal, while in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, which neighbours Poland, Red Army forces stormed a “Polish” beach and attacked a gas pipeline.

The operation also involved the simulated suppression of an uprising by a national minority in Belarus – the country has a significant Polish population which has a strained relationship with authoritarian government of Belarus.

Karol Karski, an MP from Poland’s Law and Justice, is to table parliamentary questions on Russia’s war games and has protested to the European Commission.
His colleague, Marek Opiola MP, said: “It’s an attempt to put us in our place. Don’t forget all this happened on the 70th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland.”

That's what happens when DICTATORSHIPS / BOGUS DEMOCRACIES goes nuclear.
They seek nuclear weapons to BULLY their neighbors.

Russia's history is written with BLOOD.

To have both Russia and China with VETO POWER at the United Nations
Security Council is a tremendous ABSURD.

    IRANIAN COPYCAT:
Iran will simply repeat what Russia does.If this is an acceptable outcome,
then just let the mullahs get their hands on nukes.
Let's Iran bully the entire Middle East.

Within a YEAR, you'll have a nuclear weapons's development race
in EVERY country of the region.
Those countries will spend every cent they got, let people STARVE,
exactly what North Korea did and does.Their rulers don't answer to
nobody, thus Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and Sudan will
SQUEEZE their budgets until an atomic weapon is made,no matter
    what.

...And MOTHER RUSSIA will gladly sell whatever they need !!

The duo Medvedev / Putin won't say the word NYET to any customer
willing to purchase nuclear reactors off the shelf.
I only hope they could sell a CHERNOBYL-LIKE reactor to the muslims.

poland will not be invaded. the russians will move in troops to help quell the riots/uprising/resistance and protect russian interests, and for fear of the people of belarus. future quote from russia: "after our completely legal war games, polish nationalists have been threatening our neighbor, the belarusians, through acts designed to provoke. in no way is this a military take-over or invasion, we are simply looking out for our good friends in belarus and sought to stop a potential invasion from poland, to save lives on both sides. we are saddened that the polish nationalists acted as the aggressor in this, but in the interest of world peace we had no choice but to step in as the elder brother of nations and put a stop to any potential conflict."

I'm sorry, I don't understand the difference between "moving troops in" and an invasion, would you like to clarify, please? I understand the rationalization, or excuse, it's very similar to those Hitler used. Tyrannies lack originality after all, but then, the same old things seem to work for them.
  • superllama
the rationalization is kinda the point. that will be their excuse for sending troops in. it sounds so much better, don't you think, to say they "preserved the peace" rather than "we went in and took them over". that was my whole point, that they will do it and offer an excuse to the UN that people can't argue with, the same as they did in georgia.

prediction-russia invades, rapes poland, obama and the UN do nothing.

    obama wins second nobel.

Poor Poland, such a terrible threat to it's nieghbors, they have to be invaded every so often to put them in their place, sort of reminds you a little bit of that other huge threatening country whose neighbor's are always attacking and trying to invade it, doesn't it? What's it's name? Oh yeah! Israel.
