Navy Ship built from World Trade Center Steel Arrives in NY

It’s been 8 years and even though our leadership has all but forgotten about that tragic day in Manhatten, I still believe the majority of people in this country haven’t forgotten that feeling of dread when they turned the TV on the morning of September 11, 2001.

We won’t EVER forget.

The New York carries around 500 Marines. It also carries helicopters and Ospreys that deploy them in vertical envelopements, making them much more flexible than the Marines that have to land on beaches. It carries armaments for self defense, but depends on carriers and other escort ships for it's main support. I too am touched and moved by the vessel and it's name, and especially by it's crew of whom many of it's members are from New York, and signed up for a chance to strike back at those who supported the 9/11 attack. Many of them assisted in the construction of the ship from the laying of it's keel, some of them had relatives that died in the attack. I believe they and their ship will have a chance to exact some revenge in the very near future.

There is something deeply and touchingly poignant about this: something to moisten the eye of all who love America - and that includes people of other nationalities. Can any American look upon this vessel and not be moved to the depths of the soul? My knowledge of ships is less than scant, but I hope USS New York bristles with modern armaments that will one day be employed to visit deadly retribution upon the verminous scumbag legions of Islam who perpetrated the cowardly attack we now call 9/11. Yes, never forget, America.
