Political Islam is at war against us. This is at the root cause of the warfare that is so common throughout the Islamic world. Getting rid of political Islam will trigger war as has been demonstrated time and again. The choice is clear: Either we go after political Islam, or it will come to us.

One problem among many is that the population that support political Islam is so large. This makes the war far more dangerous. The sheer size.

I call myself freedom lover because I served in the Armed Services of the U S to protect this country from people who would destroy it. Also, I have traveled to many nations in this world and know that the most freedom and opportuntiy in the world is found right here in the U S of A. Now I should allow those enemies of my nation to immigrate freely so that more wackos like this Major can kill Americans? It is because I love the freedom this nation affords me that I want to keep the jihadi killers out. Do you have a test that will tell you which ones of the Muslim immigrants will become jihadi murders and which will be peaceful? Unless you can do that, keep them all out. Will some innocents suffer? Yes. But I did not bring that suffering on a people who kill maim and destroy in the name of their God. My concern is that my children and grandchildren have a free nation to enjoy just as I do.

i am sorry i have to play devil's advocate, and i respect your opinions. i just see one of the foundations of this country is legal immigration for anyone.

There is nothing in our Constitution that says "immigration for anyone", in fact,the Constitution provides first of all for the security of it's citizens by making the President the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and making him responsible for enforcing the laws designed to keep us safe, both internally and externally. The Immigration laws passed by Congress include rules for who should be kept out as well as those allowed in. Since Islam has shown, especially since 9/11, that it's members cannot be trusted and tend to be subversive, and a threat to the very freedom we do love, the law should be changed to keep Muslims out. I would like to see all Muslim immigrants thrown out while we're at it. A close eye should be kept on the remaining natural born and naturalized Muslims. It's the price they must pay for being Muslims. Of course, they could always become apostates, although they would not be under the threat of death their "religion" requires when they are the ones in position to make the rules.

i didn't say "immigration of anyone". i said "legal immigration for anyone"-this implies immigration by the rules which you listed above.

Muslims are NOT normal people.They don't want to adapt themselves to the local culture, but rather CHANGE it to conform their twisted way of life.

My grandparents came from Germany about 1916/1920 and adapted easily to Brazilian society,
even being Jewish in a Catholic country.

They did NOT try to convert nobody to Judaism, they did NOT issue fatwas against those whom they did not agree with, they did NOT commit "honor killings", they did NOT commit suicide bombings,

Because there are people in this world that will attack a civilization that believes in peace and freedom. Secondly, just because someone believes in freedom, does not mean that they also have to believe that anyone and everyone should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S.

The whole "the U.S. is a nation of immigrants" position is useless argument. For one, the same thing can be argued just about any other country, as people there came from somewhere else, and so on, and so forth. Just because people have immigrated to the U.S., doesn't mean that anyone else should have act like they have a sense of ENTITLEMENT to com the U.S. That sense of entitlement is one of the root flaws in their thinking.

given the immediate impact of mass immigrations to the US in the 1800's and 1900's which actively shaped our nation into a world power in a relatively short time, i think i can maintain that the U.S. is a nation of immigrants as a valid argument. and my ancestors didn't come to this nation for entitlement-they came to work their asses off in a chance for something better.

and i'm sorry, i just don't see a sign that says "no muslims" on the statue of liberty. while i do agree with many of the perspectives on this site, i just cannot see barring legal immigration into this country due to religeous affiliation. because once you start barring people based on religeon, it's not to far to start prohibiting people from this country of different races/cultures.

Islam is a political organization disguised as a religion. If it was recognized for that reality, it could be banned in the same way the Nazi and Communist parties are. And before you say there was nothing religious about them, consider that the Nazi's symbol was the Swastika, the Twisted Cross, and they used other religious symbols and claims in their propaganda. Communists condemned all religion, which is a religious position by default. The seperation of church and state was an invention of our founding fathers, and it is still hard to seperate the two in reality, but it is necessary for our survival that we make this distinction with Islam.

Psudrozz you need to think it through. Suppose there were a group of people whose avowed purpose was the overthrow of every nation on earth that rejected their own peculiar legal system. Suppose that legal system legislated the inferiority of every other group on earth except their own. Suppose this group had avowed enemies whose destruction they openly contemplated, say Jews, Christians, Hindus Zoroastrians, homosexuals, etc. Suppose this group announced their firm purpose as they sought entrance to your country. Will you let them in as immigrants?

No, you would not. Not if you possess any sense at all. Now, suppose this group explains very carefully to you that they hold the legal system that they impose and murder and oppress the above mentioned groups because of their deeply held religious beliefs. Do you suddenly tearfully look at the statue of liberty and let them in? No.

A more accurate translation is "Allah is greater", meaning Allah is greater than Jehovah. That's the true nature of the "holy" war between Jews, Christians and Muslims. Allah is trying to establish his superority over Jehovah and His Son by defeating his followers with his slaves, the Muslims. Also, this shows NO Muslim can be trusted.
