That's because liberalism encourages an emotional state that promotes the feeling of superiority, that, they know better what's good for you than you know yourself, attitude, that conforms so well to the principles of Islam. Allah knows what's best for his followers, and they know what's best for their women, and for infidels. And so, they become strange bedfellows following the same course, and their barbaric practices become overlooked, or even accepted in some places.
