Geesh, Muslims are making it awfully hard for us to trust them, aren’t they?
A number of Arabic and Pashtu interpreters at the terror-war detention center at Guantanamo Bay are under active investigation for omitting valuable intelligence from their translations of detainee interrogations, among other security breaches. This could taint some of the evidence at the “9/11 trial” in New York and proceedings against other detainees.
Remarkably, the Pentagon never cleaned up the “mole infestation” at its highest-security facility after the FBI busted a Muslim spy ring at Gitmo in 2003.
The 2003 probe involved at least two Arabic interpreters with high-level security clearance. Senior Airman Ahmad al-Halabi, a Syrian native, and former Army linguist Ahmed Mehalba, an Egyptian native, were later convicted of stealing or mishandling classified documents.
Six years later comes a new problem with Muslim personnel who have virtually unfettered access to detainees and intelligence at Gitmo. Professional military security and intelligence officials at Gitmo did the preliminary probe, then prepared a classified summary and are now briefing top officials and members of Congress in Washington. An active FBI criminal probe is also under way.
The possible new spy ring involves several Arabic linguists, some also Egyptian and Syrian immigrants. They’re suspected of, among other things:
- Omitting valuable intelligence from their translations of interrogations.
- Slipping notes to detainees inside copies of the Koran.
- Coaching detainees to make allegations of abuse against interrogators.
- Meeting with suspects on the terror watchlist while back in the United States.
Officials say some of the suspected “dirty” linguists — who met privately in a locked mosque at Gitmo — have had access to 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and other high-value al Qaeda detainees.
“Three years of investigations have revealed the presence of pro-jihad/anti-Western activities among the civilian-contractor and military-linguist population serving Joint Task Force Guantanamo,” states a copy of a classified Gitmo briefing, prepared in May for the FBI, CIA and Congress’ intelligence committees.
The report explains that dirty Arabic linguists have gathered classified data involving detainees, interrogations and security operations in an effort to “disrupt” Gitmo operations and US “intelligence-collection capabilities.”

Yes Infidlesto, it's a perfect example of why it's impossible to trust ANY Muslim. They are fanatics in the truest sense of the word. It's nearly impossible to express the depth and breadth of their evil potential.
Frankly speaking that is a naive and unjust comment that gives discredit to the far greater number of very honest, hard working, sacrificing linguists that do their job. It als discredits and fails to recognise the dangers that many of thee people are going through or whom have lost their lives on behalf of coalition forces and freedom for their countries.
If anything, this shows that the US and other governments failed to correctly go through intensive vetting processes which is ciritical. They are obviously failing in this for the above examples as well as the rediculous situations that have occured when for example they sent pushtu translators to Iraq and a somali translator into Khandahar province.
I can only assume your assumption that any Muslim is a fanatic as being in the most poorest of jest and not serious, if I was to take your line then I can assume your just another Jerry Falewell.
Criticism of fantacis and other radicals is fine by me, generalizing is just stupid.
The facts don't lie. You can keep defending Islam all you want, but until you admit the problem within your own religion and start attacking THEM instead of US, you are just like any other so called “moderate”
Why can't you be more like these muslims? http://www.aifdemocracy.org/
At least Muslims like Zhuddi Jasser have the courage to stand up and actively address the obvious problem within your religion.
I'm certainly not a Jerry Falwell as I don't belong to any religion. Saying you cannot trust ANY Muslim is not a generalization when you consider that you cannot discern the fanatics from the so called “moderate” Muslims. Since I don't know what methods are used to vet the linguists, I can't say where the blame should be laid for hiring them, but they somehow earned someone's trust to be hired. It's also hard to say on whose behalf they risk their lives, since jihadists claim they love death more than we love life, so whether they die because they are caught, or as a result of being in action, they don't mind dieing. When I see the effects Muslims are having almost daily in almost every corner of the world, I don't think there's anyway to overemphasis the threat.
More bluster from Solkhar John!
Life's difficult when one assumes the role of “Chief Turd Polisher”
“Chief Turd Polisher”
LOL!!
I do not defend the acts of Muslims, have said that all together. I also do not oversimplify things down to “f*ck them”, which mos of you lot are doing, I know there is a lot more to it.
As for attacking the US, you do it all the time in various fashions, whine and complain constantly and yet you obviously do not like someonelse doing it – rather a sly double standard.
I know the aifdemocracy group, there are good and bad elements, conceptually good but having said that, failing to address the realities of the world that need to be always taken into consideration if one wishes to be serious.
Gross simplification is nothing less than disrespect to those whom have worked hard, suffered or died on behalf of either their country our your own. The very poor excuse of “cannot tell the difference” is simply an admission of bigotry.
There certainly are issues about vetting, limits to be set and that is all, I have no problem at all that any Muslim's patriotism is to be proved in some form or other, that is necessary.
The damn them all because I cannot tell the difference is in fact simply a confession of your own problems, In fact the more I think about it, I will have to post your comments to a couple of “there's your sign” and “looney bin” sites I know ……… ” All these ragheads …… er whatever they are ….. all look the same, so who cares if it is about 8 per cent of the adult male population that is the danger”. rofl!
we don't simplify it the way you characterize, Solkhar. You act like such an elitist. Most of us are intelligent, well spoken, informed citizens of humanity. It doesn't take a genius to see what's going on. I started this blog because EVERYDAY I saw news coming out across the planet about Muslims killing, raping, pillaging, oppressing, and then after I started exposing it to the world, people attacked me for shedding light on the subject. You know what came out of it? Hundreds of Muslims like yourself who could care less about the TRUE problem, but rather make excuses and defend the indefensible with ridiculous ad hominem lies and distortions trying to convinve the average reader that all of us here are just “misinformed” and “don't really understand”…
Sure you're non-violent. Good for you…you're NORMAL. But your brothers in Islam have a HUGE problem. I would respect you a whole lot more if you looked past the “hate all Muslims” label you like to place on all of us and see that, like you said, “a lot more to it”. I have Muslim friends. I live in a Muslim community in Southern California. I shop frequently at a persian marketplace filled with Muslims because the rpices are good. There are nice people all over the place. I don't take issue with ANY of them. You need to look beyond what you “think” are the intentions of the people on this site, especially the blog owner (me) and understand why we care so much about defending humanity from the perils of political and violent Islam.
People like you SILENCE anybody willing to speak out on the problem. IT's people like YOU who perpetuate the violence within Islam because you're unwilling to confront the problem. It's people like you that terrorism still exists because you're unwilling to acknowledge your own issues.
btw, I find it quite revealing the fact that don't support AIFDemocracy. Showing your true colors, Solkhar. Your elitist attitude and your “diplomatic” status mean nothing to me if all you wanna do is defend political Islam and apologize for the overwhelming amount of terror attacks committed by MUSLIMS EVERYDAY around the world.
keep attacking me as a bigot, xenophobe, islamophobe or whatever. It's nothing new. I'll keep blowing the whistle on your perverted ideology.
It is you who assumes to much Infidelesto, in my words and is attacking me by stating things that I certainly do not. Your assumption that I am supporting acts, incidents and governments is simply “not there”.
I am also not defending this incorrectly used phrase of “political Islam”, if that is your word for radical-political Muslims, then I have and will continue to condemn it.
I am not siliencing anybody whom attacks radicalism and points out the horrible daily acts of terrorists and extremists, not at all. But if they are pointing the finger in the wrong direction, which almost everyone is, I will point the finger right back at them and condemn them.
What is most funny is that it is in fact your style of dealing with things that, perhaps with good intentions, is in fact totally misguided in its result and is the FUEL for terrorists and radicals to gain support from the average Muslim. They say that the West attacks in the very core and principles of Islam, derides the faith and is after a crusad – these postings and your own, confirms that view.
In multiple postings I have pointed out and accept that the issue is Radical Muslims today, that it is not fictional or non-existant and that it is very dangerous and real. There is no argument there at all, I have also pointed out that in the end, it is the Muslim World that is going to have to deal with it. But I have also said that there are a thousand causes, reasons and influencing factors that exist in, before and around it and that generalizing only makes for misunderstanding and confusing, not to mention the agendas start flying. Yes that is secondary to the actual problem, but it is the ammunition that is used in attacks on the faith.
So you are wrong when it comes down to saying that I or we are “unwilling to acknowledg your own issues” that is incorrect in all its forms. The issues are clear – radicalism, mixing tribalism and other cultural practices and saying that it is a part of the faith, currently being within a framework of anarchy, chaos and war, failures in leadership, allowing theologans power over politics and so on and so forth. These are the issues.
There is no apologize from me for terrorst attacks, you will not find one in my postings, not one. That you accuse me of that not only stinks, but seriously reflects on you.
I am a realist, that you have not seem to have unerstood. I have been and seen this world which you have apparently viewed from your television screen and PC monitor. I have not only seen, but have been a part of and viewed the very details of the horrors that man is capable of doing, both Muslim and non-Muslim. The realities are complex and that is why I accuse you of simplification. Every action has a reaction if you like it or not. Not reaction from individuals ro the like, but from all facets. Noone can change a country, a people or a cultural habit just like that. No simple single answer will change anything about the motives of terrorists or what will stop or start a war.
I will continue to state that man is the problem and not the faith itself and I will continue to point out incorrect facts and bigotted statements, that single out a community and attack it. The rest, simply put I do not give a flying f*ck about your views on what you like or not, liberal or conservative, that is for you.
A last point, I am not only on this blog, I argue with radicam Muslims more than I argue with you, so you can imagine how stupid I think many comments on your blog are when I see THE SAME arguments being thrown from the other side. I am accused of being a western-spy, an apologist for crusaders and there to spread doubt in peoples faith for questonable reasons. I respond to them the same as to you – I have seen both worlds and I think I know them well.
I also point out that I am not only on these sites but I am a partner/director in a company that tracks the movements of funds and other sources of revenue to either known terrorist groups or those identified as sponsoring organisations (what is known as being on a Prescribed List). I know what happens out there, I know the real ugly side of it. In addition, I have a permanent scar and damage to my left hand from a letter bomb that was sent to my embassy in Jakarta many, many years ago. So I even know the pain.
So the last thing I am interested in is hearing half-arsed, “I think I know it all” statements about they think they really know about the world out there or my own involvements in what I think is a very serious matter. As far as I am concerned, bigotted and xenophobic BS only distracts the population from the real risks. Having said that, like the email I sent you, which I do not know if you received or not, I am still willing to support efforts for people to understand the real issues, the real dangers and how bad radicalism is, in my faith and others, based on the logical, moral and un-bigotted process of attacking the entire faith of a people instead of the real issues that you keep on talking about.
If there are Muslims that have worked hard, suffered, or died on behalf of the country, I'm not aware of them, which does not mean there aren't any. Such that there are, would obviously and conspiciously distinguish themselves from other Muslims. I think you honor me when you call me a bigot where Islam is concerned, because I find Islam to be an ideology that tolerates no other, so why should I tolerate it? I don't damn everyone, just Muslims, because Islam itself is a politcal organization disguised as a religion and it's goal is to kill or defeat all infidels. Since it appears you are a Muslim, I conclude you are trying to discredit me in the eyes of those that might find me credible.
You say only 8% of the Muslim adult male population is the danger, tell me, how can we infidels tell which ones they are? Can you pick them out? Or would you turn them out?
I never claimed I don't have problems, or that I'm perfect, but if you want to post my comments elsewhere, I'll do my best to defend them with anyone.
Frankly speaking that is a naive and unjust comment that gives discredit to the far greater number of very honest, hard working, sacrificing linguists that do their job.
