Bin Laden spotted in Afghanistan?

Maybe but almost for sure the detainee who’s making the claim is lying.

Most likely this captured jihadi is just a little more clever than the average Taliban dingbat.  A little leverage never hurt anyone.  After all, he know he won’t be water boarded or anything since we don’t do enhanced interrogations anymore. What does he have to lose? Just a few comments like “hey, I know where UBL might be!” is enough to perk the ears of the CIA.

0_61_binladen_320A Taliban detainee in Pakistan claims Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden was seen in Afghanistan in January or February of this year, the BBC reports.

The inmate, who said he met bin Laden numerous times before the Sept. 11 attacks, said he met with a contact who had seen the Al Qaeda leader days before in Afghanistan.

“In 2009, in January or February I met this friend of mine. He said he had come from meeting Sheikh Osama, and he could arrange for me to meet him,” he said.

The detainee reportedly said the contact is a Mehsud tribesman.

“He helps Al Qaeda people coming from other countries to get to the sheikh, so he can advise them on whatever they are planning for Europe or other places,” he told the BBC.

His claims couldn’t be verified, but a former CIA analyst told the BBC they should be probed.

“If it’s true—a big if—this is an extraordinary and important story,” the analyst told the BBC. “The entire Western intelligence community, CIA and M16, have been looking for Osama Bin Laden for the last seven years and haven’t come upon a source of information like this,” he said.

OBL is alive and unwell and almost certainly shuffling between around four cave hideouts. Unwell as he is working on one kidney. That is certian because of the various sourced intel, communicaitons processes and leadership style.

The only ironically positive side to OBL not being captured is that he must consider every single day in those crappy caves as punishment and as close to hell as possible. This is because his extreme wahhabism, by its very nature, loaths the twisted mix of Afgani triabalism and other non-Muslim practices that the Tabliban follow. If anything, it proves that OBL and Al Qaeda are more a radical political entity than a religious one, as any true religous faithful does not sell-out his faith for political expediency.
  • IMO there is no OBL, he is either dead, gone to Hell, or never existed in the first place. OBL maybe BHO, who is to know since we haven't seen BHO's BC yet? BHO is a counterfiet! We at least know that much about him and that is about ALL. With this malpractice news media nowadays, my friends, we have a very minuscule part of the truth, if any. GRRRRR
