And This Year’s Most Religiously Repressive Regime Award Goes to…

  6. Pakistan

  10. Bangladesh

Do we just give Islam a pass? Or is it still Islamophobic, bigoted and insensitive to even mention that 8 of the 10 are run by Muslims with their own version of Islamic Law?

Some restrictions result from government actions, policies and laws. Others result from hostile acts by private individuals, organizations and social groups. The highest overall levels of restrictions are found in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran, where both the government and society at large impose numerous limits on religious beliefs and practices.

But government policies and social hostilities do not always move in tandem. Vietnam and China, for instance, have high government restrictions on religion but are in the moderate or low range when it comes to social hostilities. Nigeria and Bangladesh follow the opposite pattern: high in social hostilities but moderate in terms of government actions.

Among all regions, the Middle East-North Africa has the highest government and social restrictions on religion, while the Americas are the least restrictive region on both measures. Among the world’s 25 most populous countries, Iran, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan and India stand out as having the most restrictions when both measures are taken into account, while Brazil, Japan, the United States, Italy, South Africa and the United Kingdom have the least.

And for those who don’t think there are forms of Sharia in Indonesia (Which is supposed to be a “moderate” Muslim country) or even Bangladesh. Think again:

hmm, The commie nations have lots of religious restrictions, but the people (social stats) don’t care that much.

But when hit the other end of the spectrum where religious freedom is more tolerated by the government, but the people’s hostilities are much higher?  yep you guessed it, Islamic majority countries.

Oh and the ones that are most repressive on BOTH sides of the spectrum? Yep, Muslim controlled countries take the cake.

    Thomas Aquinas said in his Summa Theologica that the Catholic Church is the greatest instrument of repression that the world has ever seen....obviously, he was wrong or islam had not expanded to the point it is now. Islam is peaceful because it is slavery. It is also the most violent of any religion in the world today. The numbers prove that. Muslims are also the most obnoxious puke any of us have encountered as well. I know that the argument will be that "Oh but the MAJORITY of muz are peaceful and blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I've heard all that. The koran, hadiths and all that crap and how orderly and peaceful it is and don't blame islame for the sins of a few....all crap. Muslim people are killing people all over the world and being obnoxious pukes at every corner of the globe....that's what I'm talking about. They are doing these things. They do them because THEY say it's about islam, I don't have to. I don't care how wonderful islam is supposed to be, it ain't. And Oh Yeah, Christianity is supposed to be all love and brotherhood too and it ain't....but in Christianity, a murder is murder, not a sanctioned "honor killing". Muz pukes are the only ones that do that. In islam they kill the girl for getting raped, in Christianity her daddy kills the rapist if he can get his hands on him before the cops do, certainly if the rapist is caught in the act. Big difference. Another big difference.....reality and how it's supposed to be. Bottom line....islam sucks and the muz can keep it. Better that they keep it where it belongs....back where it came from. I think they should all be deported....right to Saudi Arabia. That's the seat of the infestation.
