Cheney: Obama pretending we’re not at war

by Infidelesto on December 30, 2009 · Comments

Dang I wish we had a leader like this.  Cheney cuts straight to the heart of the matter while pissing off every liberal leftist on earth.

From Politico:

“As I’ve watched the events of the last few days it is clear once again that President Obama is trying to pretend we are not at war.

  • He seems to think if he has a low-key response to an attempt to blow up an airliner and kill hundreds of people, we won’t be at war.
  • He seems to think if he gives terrorists the rights of Americans, lets them lawyer up and reads them their Miranda rights, we won’t be at war.
  • He seems to think if we bring the mastermind of Sept. 11 to New York, give him a lawyer and trial in civilian court, we won’t be at war.
  • He seems to think if he closes Guantanamo and releases the hard-core Al Qaeda-trained terrorists still there, we won’t be at war.
  • He seems to think if he gets rid of the words, ‘war on terror,’ we won’t be at war.

But we are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren’t, it makes us less safe. Why doesn’t he want to admit we’re at war? It doesn’t fit with the view of the world he brought with him to the Oval Office. It doesn’t fit with what seems to be the goal of his presidency — social transformation — the restructuring of American society. President Obama’s first object and his highest responsibility must be to defend us against an enemy that knows we are at war.”

All it takes to see who are the greatest leaders in the conservative movement is to look at who the left hates the most and attacks most often.

Dick Cheney reminds me of a truth so well spoken by George Orwell:

“We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.” George Orwell

Taken together all the actions that Dick Cheney lists add up to treason - giving aid and comfort to our enemy: Totalitarian Islam. This should come as no surprise since Obama's Marxism is a totalitarian political ideology as well.
  • Storm_Rider: Treason with a capital T. The whole friggin' lot in DC, have committed Treason, and they know it.
GRRRRR Pay day is a real bitch.

Cheney and his dry, "to the point" language, undoubtedly messes the minds of PC demanding pussies everywhere. Palin is way too direct for the PC loving loons too. I like the idea of a Cheny/Palin ticket....but that's just me. I'm kind of LIKE Cheney both in outlook and output. I don't mince words either.....and an "equal opportunity offender"
  • Tonto: an "equal opportunity offender" - OK I like that, me too. Obama is digging his grave deeper and deeper with his teeth and forked tongue. Glad to see it, BHO and his no count piss ant friends are right behind him, praise God.
It all will blow up in their face, what wasted year where the POTUS is concerned, except for the fact people are seeing him for what he really is: Liar, failure, egomaniac, inept, @$$ ! -$$#&, among other things. GRRRR

In a way, I hate to say this, but it seems to me that Obama was the "last straw" that pushed a bunch of folks plumb over the edge. There has been a considerable period of time in this country where conservative folks have become increasingly uncomfortable with the way this country has been heading. The immorality on TV....we hear swear words all the time now, and sex on TV...all kinds of crap like that. Affirmative action that makes fools out of people that work hard and get blown out of advancement by some lame ass of the "entitled" race. Racists flipping out the race card when something happens that they don't like or the law has their ass against the wall. People taking undue advantage of our charitable natures and just sucking our blood. Katrina was an eye-opener for many, Carter had been a little bit, Clintons were in leftist stealth mode, but Obama is a screaming lefty and racist pig if there ever was one. Tea Party is a manifestation of what is going on.......republican buttheads are trying to infiltrate that but ain't getting nowhere. This whole mess could turn out to be the "wake-up call" that saves us and returns us to the old values of the America we grew up in........I pray to God that is what will happen. The opposite is just too bleak for me to want to think about. But just in case, I got my guns and my Bible ready to cuddle up to.
  • Tonto: I know what you mean, by hating to say "Obama was the last straw" that pushed folks plumb over the edge. Sometimes mistakes can be a blessing and sometimes blessings can be a mistake. Yes, I do believe this may be a blessing in disguise and just the jolt we need to get back to right values, and stop the Form of Insanity that exists in this very evil greedy government, and like you say this could be a wake-up call, I pray so too. Never hurts to have your Bible and your gun ready just in case. GRRRRR

Nicely expressed, LJC. I wish I had written that. Eisenhower said words to the effect that he made his judgements based upon the principle: Is it good for America? Call me old-fashioned if you will, but I reckon he was spot on. Nothing I have ever heard from Cheney with respect to America's security suggests he deviates from DD's tenet, while Obama seems to be hell-bent on converting America into a land of appeasers who dare not utter a word that might be construed as patriotic or - horror of horrors - jingoistic. As an outsider looking in, this terrifies me. The moment America claims not to be the BEST is the moment the rest of us should run to our bomb shelters. Yes, Americans can sometimes be a bit over the top (read the many quotes of the immortal Chesty Puller and George Patton), but their "over-the-topness" is what has maintained Western civilisation for quite a while, now. America and the world needs such titans - men who are not afraid to spit in the world's eye - men who are not afraid to wield Teddy's big stick. Why do liberals seemingly rule the roost in America? Because America has it good? Having it good proves that all is hunky-dory? WHY does America have it good? Because of the likes of Puller and Patton and the down-in-the-dirt American soldier and worker were sufficiently wise and courageous and selfless to put Country above all else. Obama and the liberals are blind to the fact that the comfortable beds they sleep in were built by blood and sacrifice and mutilation. They refuse to recognise that the "good" in having it good can be lost in the blink of an eye. There was no 9/11 yesterday, so all must be well. God help us, but does America need a 9/11 every day to wake up to the evils that prey upon it? Have Americans forgotten MacArthur's "Honour, Duty, Country" speech and its abiding message? Do they think they were just pretty words? Can they not see that his words were the very soul of America? Do they believe MacArthur enjoyed war and its attendant horrors? Do they think he relished the spectacle of mutilated and mangled bodies of American boys? Which of the oldies was it who said, "Those who would avoid war should prepare for it"? Plato? Clearly, Obama and his cronies and supporters are ignorant of this immutable truth. Perhaps they interpret war to mean bullets and bombs and shells and armies stuff, but war takes many forms and America is at war on many fronts, the most insidious being that which is waged upon it by its own liberals and Obamaphiles. God almighty, don't they teach history in America anymore? Or have the liberal educationalists adjusted the syllabuses to exclude everything that smacks of "unclean" patriotism? The rise of Obama intrigues me (his fall will delight me). Is there anyone alive who believes his election was not a racial issue? Don't misunderstand me. I have no objection to a man or woman of any ethnic/racial/whatever persuasion ascending to the throne of power provided he or she is first and foremost AMERICAN and everything that wonderful word stands for. I grew up in a world when Americans thought they were the icing on the cake. It pissed me off. As a boy I was told that Americans were full of bullshit and that their fighting forces were no match for the Salvation Army. Then I grew up. Then I studied history. Then I came to realise that your country is the breeding ground of valour. This takes nothing away from claims made upon valour by other countries, but it sets the record straight. American boys bleed like all others. Your politicians have striven to avoid wastage of its finest, but whenever the need arose they were not found wanting, and the country responded heroically. Heroically. That's the word, isn't it? Liberals detest heroism. It shows them up for the craven cowards they are. Does Obama know what "Semper Fidelis" translates to? Does he understand what Americans have historically been faithful to? Yes, he has at last committed more troops to Afghanistan, but I wonder if he really wanted to. Why did he delay his decision? Was his decision thrust upon him? Did he try every trick in the book to nay say the request in order to keep sweet with his liberal bedmates and his fellow Muslims? Obama is a living betrayal of everything that has forged America. He is hell-bent on caponising that great country.
  • Beejj: Thanks, and what you said is as profound. "The rise of Obama intrigues me (his fall will delight me)." "Pride goes before a fall." We must hold fast to that WORD and hold on, not letting it slip. God will provide, "the battle is his the victory is ours."
It will happen, I look forward to that deightful day. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
