The more the fight against radicals and extremists in Egypt will create more such events as it is the objective of extremists to divide the community and provoke. That is the sad effect, and the real question should be how much is the Egyptian Authorities protecting the Copts and other communities and groups from the targetting. I would also imagine that tourists are more of a target and I am pretty certain for the financial benefit of protecting its tourist industry the focus is on protecting them more.

This item is very sad and certainly very real but the media does not show as much as you think because some of the items that are pushed as events are questionable.

Some Copt websites and so called news-sites are actually political propoganda sites. There is a schism within the Copt community of Egypt and outside because some are trying to make political capital and make up items - see the last item on the Copts on this site which was a fabrication. I spoke to a Copt friend and showed him the other item that was shown and he said it was a fabrication, the photo that was shown made me suspicious so that is why I sent it. He also said that most Copts in Egypt stay away from the political groups because the Copts overseas became politicised and send their money not back to their families in Egypt or for community support but to "make trouble" because in the end most Copts are better off in Egypt, more protected and are positively discriminated in civil service entry jobs and even paying local taxes.

Yes radicals Muslims like the Brotherhood are targetting Copts and it will get worse, but people need to see the reality, that it is not as bad as some radical Copt groups and sites would like it to be and the context needs to be known so that all the truths come out.

I don't know what site you're talking about. There are million of sites with
different opinions about the Copts. WHO CARES? We;re talking about
persecution of COPTS in Egypt and all you want to do is talk about some
