Breaking: Israeli airstrikes in Gaza in response to Hamas attack

by Infidelesto on January 7, 2010 · Comments

The IAF targeted a weapons factory in Gaza City.  This was in response to yesterday’s attack in which over a dozen rockets and mortars were fired off into southern Israel.

Israeli Air Force jets struck several targets in central and southern Gaza Strip Thursday night, Palestinian sources reported. There were no immediate reports of casualties. The IDF confirmed a strike was mounted.

According to the report, the IAF struck targets in Gaza City and echoes of the explosions were heard throughout central Gaza.

Hamas and Palestinian radio stations said the explosions heard were the result of an Israeli air strike, adding that flames and smoke were spotted in the strike zones.

Israeli media reports said Israel had targeted a weapons factory in Gaza City.

Let the media circus begin…Israel will be condemned and the Pali’s will do everything they can to make Israel look like the aggressor. They’ll probably leave OUT this important detail:

Earlier Thursday, the IAF dropped thousands of flyers along the Gaza border, which according the Palestinians carried a warning not to come within 300 yards of the border fence. This was the first time the Air Force dropped such flyers since May 2009.

Damn those inhumane zionist Jews. What savages!

Actually Hamas has been preventing vigilantes from firing rockets into Israel. This incident makes me wonder how Israel can continue trying to justify the hundreds of children killed during Cast Lead as necessary to prevent rocket attacks, when it is clear that this goal is not achievable.
  • What makes you think Hamas is trying to stop it? You're incredibly naive.

What justifies Israel NOT being able to do anything when their CIVILIANS are constantly targeted by "vigilantes" or whatever you want to call it.

Should Israel just sit there and allow this to continue? Hamas doesn't even RECOGNIZE Israel. You think "talking" would solve all this? Please.

Re: Hamas stopping rocket attacks: http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE5991EV200...

Israel has the right to target the terrorists and the rocket firing apparatus. They do not have the right to bomb water and food supplies, bulldoze agricultural fields, recklessly kill civilians etc. All of which they did during the Cast Lead operation, unnecessarily resulting in hundreds of civilian deaths.
  • wow, Jihadi vs Jihadi. you don't see that very often.
  • hellosnackbar
That's the hallmark of mad zeolotry John.
All extremists of various movements find ideological differences sometimes resulting in them killing one another.
This was parodied in the "Life of Brian"with the Judean people's liberation front;and the liberation front of the Judean people.

The U.S. dropped leaflets prior to some air raids upon Japan in 1945. We told them that we were going to bomb the next day and to clear the area. The fact that we could notify the population prior to an attack told many of those who saw the notes that they were unable to stop us. They were losing, and badly. They surrendered a short time later.

I had thought that the Palestinians are smart enough to see this. Yes, I know this is an entirely different situation. Yet we 'occupied' the country that produced repeated suicide attackers and were successful because the population accepted the fact that they had lost. They allowed the killing to end. Not so today.

(By the way, we wiped entire cities out prior to the final surrender. Anyone who thinks that this can't happen again does not understand fundamental human nature very well.)

Weapons factory? They should bomb every field and grocery store there, then seal the borders. Obviously, the muz have too much time on their hands. They won't have time for shenanigans if they're busy finding things to eat.
  • After reading all the comments, we have a disagreement here it looks like, imagine that. What I do disagree is HITLARY giving Hamas a dime of our money to rebuild Gaza. Hope she doesn't feel she has to do that stupid thing again. What is she thinking, along with our POTUS? Who the Hell knows what those two birds are up to, still following that idiot Jimmy Carter's teachings, huh? Birds of a feather.
You go Isreal, and all that are on your side. Spelling right or wrong is not the issue here BTW, and yes I spelled Hitlary's name right, FYI.

" No, he's not Ashkenazy since he's from Brazil "

Please, read what you've wrote again. Are you SURE about that?
If you were using another nickname I'd call you an IGNORAMUS for that.

    " Askenazim is a PLURAL ! "

That's what my Ulpan's teacher told us.
  • Arik
Well, what they thought us at school is that Jews that live or have lived in Europe (other than Spain) are considered Ashkenazim, and everyone else is Sephardi (ספרדים). Now that you mention it though, I'm not too sure about this distinction.
If you could educate me on that subject I'd be forever grateful.
  • hellosnackbar
Joe Stalin a Jew??where did you hear that?(he was a Georgian).and an antisemite.
And V I Lenin was a great Russian(not in the sense that he was a great man).
    Ashkenazi versus Sephardi??
I come from Manchester where there are populations of both.
In 35 years I never heard any word of disparagement passed by a member of one community against the other.(both communities were by any yardstick successful).
During the six days war there was tension between Jewish and Arab students(at Manchester university);and one orthodox Jew sided with the Arabs;he was always referred to as that "Meshuggener"(hope the spelling is correct).
My former landlord was called Torres(a Sephardic) .he was one of the wittiest people I've ever met.
Sadly he died (age 90)and told me and my flatmates(realising that he was hours from dying)
that we could stay rent free until the house was sold by his children.
He even gave us the contents of his drinks cabinet(some superb port);he had been a wine importer; his family was from Portugal.

Hamas. pshhh. We are savages? The little Palestinian kids skulk around in military garb and aim assault weapons at Israel. A 2-year old! Palestinians put all capital letters in "INSANE", and that's an understatement.

    LEAFLETS ???

Ahhh, I would also drop some rather interesting leaflets before attacking Gaza:

" We're gonna burn you with NAPALM. Just LEAVE the Middle East, or else."

    Lovely, isn't it?

I'd do to Gaza what the Romans did to Carthage.
I wouldn't left a single brick standing on its own.
  • TruthSayer
Phosphorous bombs? Israel launches them burning Palestinian women and children. Totally forbidden by the U.N. conventions. Israel is still using them because the rules don't pertain to them.

  • Necrowulf
You mean, the same phosphorous bombs Hamas used as well? Or you mean Hamas especifically targetting civilians?

Even the people of Gaza accept that what Israel does to them is their fault. If you live in the UK, try to watch Ross Kemp goes to the Middle East: Gaza

People in there are either judeophobic, and think that islam is true or some rare cases, like I said above, they know what Israel did for them in the past. Where they used to have factories with thousands of people working, thanks to the Israelis, but since Hamas took over, that stopped.

    Check your facts...
  • TruthSayer
I guess when you invade someones country and you are not from there then this is what you will have to deal with. Believe me the truth is known by people and Zionist Israel is not innocent.

  • ClaySchil
Sadly that is exactly what is going to happen. Somehow, despite the fact that Israel not only warned the Palestinians but the also were attacked first, the world will overlook this just because of everyone's hate for "intolerant" Jews.
  • TruthSayer
Sadly Israeli Ashkenazi Jews moved into a land that was not theirs and started a shit fight. They keep promoting this B.S. and WE the people of the U.S. are paying for it. Where do you think our money went from the FED that Ben Bernanke cannot answer the questions asked : WHERE THE HELL IS OUR MONEY? creating burgeoning debt and supplying white collar crime/treason by Israel.
  • JEWHAWK
    You are an IMBECILE.

The Ashkenazy Jews EXISTS today because the Romans DEPORTED all Jews from the region. A batch
went to what we know today as Europe in the first century A.D.

I don't like Bernanke either, but don't blame the Ashkenazy Jews on account of him.

I'm also don't like the fact Israel receives BILLIONS from you.

Maybe it's GUILT for not having bombed Auschwitz and Birkenau during WWII
while targets were hit just five miles away from there.

Maybe it's guilt for receiving THOUSANDS of Eastern Europe's WAR CRIMINALS,
many concentration camps's guards included during and after WWII.

I can't blame you, for you're not being completely untruthful.
  • TruthSayer
I also did not resort to calling you names JEWHAWK. You are obviously Ashkenazim.
  • Arik
No, he's not Ashkenazy since he's from Brazil. Also Ashkenazim is a PLURAL! learn to use the word yourself before claiming somebody else made a spelling error. It's a Hebrew word written in English so using the Firefox spell checker is pretty much pointless.
  • TruthSayer
Spell Ashkenazim correctly and I will maybe listen to you but you REALLY don't know what you are talking about. More people than just Jews were killed in WWII which we NEVER hear about. How about the Chinese killed by the Japanese (many more than the total numbers in Europe) during their occupation THEN killed by Chairman Mao during the Cultural Revolution. How about the Russians killed by Stalin and Lenin (both Ashkenazi Jews) and the Czar with his family assassinated by a Kabbalist hit men commissioned by Rothschild because they were againsy the central bank and held the sovereign rights to print their own currency. I have absolutely NO guilt because my family is Sephardic Jew and we left Europe before this. Thankfully we were not stupid enough to end up in Israel believing this lie of the ruling class of Jews- the Ashkenazim. Treated horribly in Israel as 2nd class citizens and the TRUE Jews from the Levant.

P.S. Learn English if you want to post on an English speaking website.
  • Necrowulf
truthSayer, so you support what muslims are doing to the Israelis?
  • you're so misguided...oh well. Too busy to school your right now.
