Anticipating defeat: Dems planning to ram Senate Health Care bill through House straight to Obama’s desk

Democrats Seeking to Push Senate Health Bill Through House

The White House and Democratic Congressional leaders, scrambling for a backup plan to rescue their health care legislation if Republicans win the special election in Massachusetts on Tuesday, are preparing to ask House Democrats to approve the Senate version of the bill, which would send the measure directly to President Obama for his signature.

The problem of course is there is next to no wiggle room for Pelosi on the vote count.  The Senate plan does not include the Stupak abortion amendment  which was a HUGE selling point for several blue dogs.  I can’t even begin to fathom the amount of corruption that will have to take place in order to get this through the House.

  • Why does it seem that the Dems are forcing the health care bill on the people? And why don't they listen to what people are saying? If Brown wins, this should be an indication that they do not want the health care bill. There could be "hidden interests" on this one, I suppose.
  • Does this not tell you something. As we all know Pelosi, Reid, Obama couldn't give a damn about healthcare. This Bill is to line their pockets with $$$$$$ and lots of it. YES, make the American people pay, pay, pay, so that white Witch Pelosi can get more botox. She looks terribly old on the video. Pelosi needs to get in her jet and get to the plastic surgeon ASAP. That better be her focus, then her hairdresser - BTW we are all paying for her luxury, and it is NOT working. GRRRRR

  • Yes, they are really running scared and I do not know of anything they would not stoop to to make the "reform" happen.
