Obama’s apology tour heads back to Asia. What a disgrace…

(AP) – U.S. President Barack Obama showed willingness Thursday to visit the atomic-bombed city Hiroshima during his meeting with visiting Hiroshima Mayor Tadatoshi Akiba.

Akiba requested Obama to visit Hiroshima, and the president responded that he wants to visit, the mayor said after the meeting.

  • I just wonder what could be the reason for Obama's visit to Hiroshima. Is it to apologize? For what? Hopefully it has something to do with the economic conditions of the country and not just another opportunity for a vacation as stompykitty mentions.

    Maybe they'll have an apology contest. The Japanese representative can apologize for Pearl Harbor, and Obama can apologize for Hiroshima, and we can all vote for a winner? Probably be no contest, no one apologizes the way Obama does, and the Japanese aren't very good at apologizing, are they?
