What I stand for is structured foreign policy, the kind a nation must hope to exercise if it is to assert itself honestly and resolve its overseas issues.

My platform is based on a shared understanding with you of the risks of Islam, but a decided lack of concert regarding your methodology.
My pet gripes, as you put it, are mainly the refusal to have an honest and transparent approach to politics. In this regard, I feel most of you have lacked the desire to cooperate with the current president. There is no hidden agenda with the current administration. The biggest problem is the infamous 'bubble' that places the president in the position of mediator for the two parties. I say this because he has insisted on selling conservatives on his views rather than insist on his way of doing things. Had he been more proactive(as the liberals constantly desire), he would have ignored the conservative voice and served his citizens effectively by circumventing those who are emptily refusing health care and jobs to the people. This, of course, causes you to remind us all that he HAS to deal with people who call him a socialist and refuse his proposals out of some kind of mis-guided principle. Unlike the previous president, who completely ignored the people and used the classic conservative defense of 'it's a tough decision, but someone has to make it'. Measuring the threat of whatever he was fighting in an apocalyptic gauge, Bush showed the American people that no matter how bad an idea was, we would go along if it could protect us in the long run. And the lie was, of course, in his attack of Iraq and Afghanistan. What about Saudi Arabia & The Gulf (Al-Qaeda purse strings), Pakistan (recruitment center) or Syria and Iran(weapons supplier to Hamas and Hezbollah).
I'm here to put in my two cents but more importantly I'm here to present the situation on the ground to you. The fact is that America needs to support anti-Islamists in this part of the world waaay more. This means REAL support to the 14th government (Iran gives Hezbollah guns, you give Hezbollah stern words) that allows the removal of Hezbollah with minimal collateral damage. Now of course, the US government can either decide to rectify the Middle East FULLY (clean job, no half-assing) or shift the focus from foreign policy to internal issues. The US can outsource this type of deal to the UN, friendly Arab nations (need all the pictures of neocons getting pally with Arabs to prove this point?) and of course in the most problematic of cases, armed militias. So when a guy comes along saying 'I've got a plan to make AMERICA right, I listen.

At last! Finally a semi-coherent answer that kind of makes sense. I was thinking for a while that you were nuts or something. Obama came in talking about "Change" and "Hope"...that was cool but he immediately reverted to "commie mode", and that's really where he has been historically coming from his entire life. Instead of addressing our most pressing matter, unemployment, he paid off the bankers that assisted the democrap plan on housing and sent them happily off to retirement with huge multimillion dollar rewards for their faithful participation and support in a financial scenario they knew all along could never sustain itself. Then he jumped on Healthcare and Cap and Trade..which were lame horses right from the git-go. I read the so-called health care bill....it was about government control, not health care, coupled with more huge spending...and still is. It's about a socialist agenda, expansion of government, huge spending and creating a nation wide dependence on the federal government. Think about it. Why shitcan healthcare that 90% of the people are buying and are happy with for 40 million that don't. The 40 million number I also have some heartburn over. What 40 million? How many of those are illegals, and why are they still here? Ike got rid of 14 million back in the 50s, so can we in the 10s. Laws can motivate them all to go back where they came from, and some states have begun to do just that. Why force people to accept healthcare that don't feel a need to have it? Just demand cash when they get sick or injured. They knew the risk. But Obama, with all the other problems, with thousands of people in the street saying "No way Jose", still persists. And with 15% real unemployment and another 5% under employed, no mention from Obama. It's like he wanted it that way and healthcare and growth of government was his real agenda. I still feel, quite frankly that Obamalamadingdong, could still go down in history as the first and only US President arrested, charged, tried, convicted and incarcerated for treason. It may happen yet, this is only the first year.

As far as politics goes....I really am of the opinion that it's just a circus for our amusement & distraction. I believe the Dems & Reps are all in bed together for the most part these days. Their only real goal is themselves, not us. Which is why I am not down with this Obamacare. I simply do not believe the people crafting this bill have our best interests in mind! Obama said it would be on C-span for all to see. It's not, & much of it is debated by one party behind closed doors. Transparency? I support H. Res. 615. If it's such a great healthcare plan, automatically enroll all Members of Congress and all Senators in the public option. But they rejected that amendment. Another gripe, is that I don't care to support the professional welfare riders. So many people could afford health ins. if they would give up the 22" rims on their ride, or get rid of the $400 car payment & get something they can afford. I KNOW we need health care reform, I just don't trust 80% of the government as far as I can spit.
As for Obama.... *sigh* man, I genuinely don't hate the guy. I don't demonize him, I don't think he's the anti-christ. So many people hated Bush, but Obama is carrying out much of the same agenda. It seems people voted for him like a popularity contest, & now they sit back & pay no attention to what his administration is doing.
My beef with Obama is this: his socialist leanings, radical contacts (he even says"judge me by the people I surround myself with") lack of experience, ineptness without a teleprompter, counter factual historical remarks, ambiguity of his birth & public records (yes it's an issue & yes it matters to me). Top it off with his lack of couth & decorum. The worst instance being his response to the Ft Hood attacks, where he thanks a laundry list of people who helped get the conference together & even gives a smiling "shout out" to another person---all this before even beginning to address the somberness of WHY he's there or give his sympathy to those affected by the tragedy. Alot of people may have hated Bush, but I guarantee you he (or Clinton for that matter!) would have behaved with more respect. I don't like Obama's rock star attitude :( I'm sure he truly believes in his principles & what he sees for this country, I don't think he's malicious.
