Anxiety in Kano over eclipse of the moon

Kano -A total eclipse  of the moon was witnessed in Kano Wednesday night, causing some restiveness among the residents of the city.

The eclipse, which began around 8 p.m, lasted for more than three hours, sending the city into total darkness.

As a result, the residents offered prayers to God for the moon to return.

The prayers, which featured verses from the Holy Qur’an, were offered in mosques in supplication to God “to make the moon recover from its sickness”.

Malam Nuhu Sulaiman, a Qur’anic teacher, said: “In the Islamic religion, we believe that the moon is also a servant of Allah, and, therefore, can fall sick through an eclipse like this.

“When we see it fall sick, we are enjoined to pray for its recovery.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)  said the prayers lasted until about 11 p.m. when the moon came out again, signalling the end of the eclipse.

Ah the learned cosmologists of Islam diagnose the moon as sick when there is a lunar eclipse.
Why doesn’t Allah the ignoramus let them know what’s really happening?
And what’s going to happen with the disobedient naughty moon on judgement day?
    Doesn’t Allah live there?

  • SirWilhelm

Muslims often brag about how “scientific” the Quran is. Believing the moon is sick, sure seems scientific to me. And the moon is a “servant” of Allah? That could be taken to mean that the moon serves it’s god, Allah, because Allah is the name of an ancient pagan Arabian moon god. It’s no wonder they are superstitious, because their beliefs are pagan to begin with. And how ironic is it, that it’s an ancient, primitive, pagan religion that is trying to force it’s beliefs on the world.

Hahahahahaha !!!!! So a huge piece of rock can get “sick”, huh? What a heap of dung they got in lieu of their brains !!

    Worthless rag heads.

Not a single achievement in the last, oh, I don’t know, 500 years.  Any literature?  Any music?  Any scientific achievements?   Death, torture and hatred are all they do.  Inbred freaks following a book by satan and too stupid to know it.

  • EugenicsForDummies

I would say it’s because they lack the superior genetics of the master race. Just putting in my two cents

  • NeverTooLate

The moon is sick, so we will pray. This sort of ignorant, uneducated belief that is fed out to the muslim masses through their so-called clerics and mullahs really describes the hellhole that they have dug themselves into over the last 1400 years… and they say in the Cowran that the sun also sets in to a muddy pool. Any claims that muslims may try to post about technical advances are completely borrowed from the Greek, Hindu, and Persian civilizations. islam and muslims have contributed NOTHING to this world in the last 1400 years – absolutely nothing… no great pieces of classical music, no great paintings or portraits, no incredible works of literature, no great scientific or medical achievements or discoveries… as I said, nothing. In fact, all their so-called education is nothing, based on force, death and war – this is what they teach in madrassahs. In fact islam is a retrograde force that takes without giving. When is the west going to wake up to the fact that they are bending backwards to a pagan religion filled with nonsense?

  • Tonto

I’d say the lack of achievement has been for the last….oh say 1400 years.  Aside from conquering, enslaving, raping etc, the muz have utilized technological and intellectual advances they have stolen from those they over-ran….but nothing they have come up with independently has had any meritorious significance.

  • JEWHAWK

I won’t accept your two cents. This ain’t about race at all, but ideology. Arabs aren’t inferior per se, but most of’em embrace Islam, an utterly backward way of life and thought that definitely put them way behind regarding science, music, etc.
Maronite and Coptic arabs are not to be subjected to any kind of bias, for they’re as hardworking, honest and normal as anyone of us.
The “master race” is a bad-taste myth followed only by morons like yourself.

  • CMartel

I just finished my latest book “famous muslim scientists”.  It took me over 10 seconds to write it.

  • EugenicsForDummies

Whoah, careful with the backpedaling there champ. Might trip. Isn’t it funny how it’s all ‘Arabs are backward, look at how many Nobel prizes we have and how many they have” until someone points out that you’re effectively insinuating that they’re genetically dumber?

Sablegsd started off by using a racial slur, reminding us that they have achieved nothing and then insinuated that they generally follow Islam BECAUSE they are stupid and not the other way around. You’re free to criticize Islam as a backwards and barbaric way of life all you like, but when you start talking trash you just come off as a good ol’ fashioned racist

  • JEWHAWK

    I hate ISLAM. Period.
I do NOT hate Arabs out of the thin air, just because they are Arabs. It’s nonsense. To hate someone, first I’ve got to have a reason.
I hate Muslim Arabs because they hate Jews and are willing to destroy Israel. If they didn’t hate Jews or plot to snuff out Israeli cities, I wouldn’t even notice their existence.
Islam isn’t a “race”, ergo I’m not a racist, only an unapologetic “islamophobe”.
I’m very careful about making this very clear.

Do I hate Germany ? Nope.
    Do I hate Germans? Nope.
Do I hate Nazi Germans ? You betcha.

Nevertheless, if you consider a good “islamophobe”  like myself a “racist”, then feel free to call me that. I don’t mind.

P.S.:  There is a TRUCKLOAD of Jews whom I truly detest. The list is extremely long, mind you.
Jews ALSO may be hateful, revolting, disgusting, dishonest, murderous, you name it.

    1) Bernard Madoff
    2) ALL Ha’aretz staff and readers (At least 50% of Israeli population)
    3) Paul Krugman
    4) Mr. Finkelstein
    5) George Soros
    6) Karl Marx
    7) Trotsky 8) Noam Chomsky
    9) Elliot Spitzer
    10) Rahm Emmanuel
    11) Anthony Weiner
    12) Every Jew who voted for Obama
And the list goes on and on…

Lets not forget that the earliest inventions and discoveries were by the muslims.
Muslim mathematicians devised and developed Algebra (which i believe you still use,if youre so against muslims stop using it!)Geometry, trigonometry, and calculus were also contributed to, as well as arithmetic, cryptography, and mathematical induction.
Muslims transferred what is known as the Arabic numerals to Europe. These are the same numbers on your keyboard (assuming you are using an English keyboard). They also transferred the concept of zero.
Al-Khwarazmi used Arabic numerals which came to the West through his work in the 9th century.
Al-Razi described and treated smallpox in the 10th century.
Ibn Sina diagnosed and treated meningitis in the 11th century.
Muslims built the first observatory as a scientific institution in the 13th century.
Qutb al-Din al-Shirazi explained the cause of the rainbow in the 13th century.
Ibn al-Nafis described the minor circulation of the blood in the 14th century.
Al-Kashani invented a computing machine in the 15th century.
You are still using the historic contributions of muslims to science to develop and not even acknowledging it.

    Zero was an Indian concept.
    Geometry and trigonometry were Greek.
Bin Sina might have been able to diagnose meningitis ;but was incapable of treating it(it requires intravenous antibiotics).
Yes there was a period in the middle ages when intelligent Muslims indulged in science;but eventually the
nonsense in the Koranus poisoned their explorative thought.
You appear to be yet another Mohammedan retard who basks in the glory and fancy of the middle ages.
Dump Islam and get a life!

  • JEWHAWK

As childish as your “clever” nickname ” (1,2,3), your post claims that muslims WERE interested in science some 600 years ago…as far as I’m aware, the only muslim contribution is merely linguistic ( Al- gebra), for they did not CREATE science, but COPIED and TRANSLATED documents  from the Greek Civilization. This deserves much praise on its own.
Since then, what else muslims did but to  rape, maim, slaughter and convert “infidels” to Islam ?

  • SirWilhelm

Most of those people became Muslims because their countries were conquered
by the Muslims in the first jihad, which nearly conquered the known world
at the time. They, and their families were forced to convert to Islam, or
die by the sword. During the “Golden Age” of Islam, which lasted around 200
years. Islam depended on the wealth of conquest for prosperity, and the
knowledge of those it conquered. When the effects of Islamic totalitarianism
and indoctrination of the Quran took full effect, the Caliphate fell into
stagnation and fell apart in disarray over infighting for power. It was only
the discovery of oil in some Muslim countries that stimulated a rebirth of
sorts. And how is most of that oil money to used? After ensuring that some
sheiks have fabulous wealth, most of the money has been used to fund jihad,
and the majority of Muslims remain in abject poverty. What technology Islam
has today, has been bought, stolen, or borrowed from the West. The
negative contributions of Islam far out weigh any positive ones, including the
slavery that continues to be practiced in Islam today, and I don’t mean the
vows of slavery every Muslim has to make to their deity. I mean the White
slavery, the sex slaves, that Muslims deal in, and the defacto slavery they
impose on laborers in places like Yemen. when they confiscate their
passports, and force them to work for little or nothing. Evil can make itself very
attractive on the surface, Satan is called the “Angel of Light”, but the
true nature of evil always becomes apparent. And it’s easy for the pot to call
the kettle black, for Islam to call us the Great Satan, while worshipping
a deity that demands slave/soldiers that convert or kill for him. If I was
raised in Islam, I might be so indoctrinated, I would not recognize the
evil in it either, but, I’d like to think I would. Why can’t you see the evil
    in Islam?
