Of course I will likely be called a racist for implying that this was an honor killing, despite friends confirming Aqsa’s family coming down on her for not dressing muslim enough.

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The brother of a Mississauga, Ont., teenager who was strangled to death in her home has been charged with first-degree murder.

Aqsa Parvez was 16 when she was strangled to death in December 2007 during what friends said was a family dispute over her reluctance to wear a hijab.

Her father, 57-year-old Muhammed Parvez, was charged with first-degree murder soon after his arrest that month.

Her brother Waqas Parvez, 27, was charged with first-degree murder as well following his arrest on Thursday.

Mr. Parvez had already been charged with obstruction of justice in connection with his sister’s death.

A Peel police spokeswoman says investigators think they have the two primary suspects but believe there may be others who witnessed or have knowledge of the crime.

Of course many muslimahs in the middle east will always claim they are not compelled (read: FORCED) to wear it, they do so to prevent themselves from being sexually objectified, which implies muslim men have zero self control around the women folk. Either way it paints a pretty shoddy image.

‘Taliban killing 30 Shias a day’

KARACHI: The Jafferia Alliance of Pakistan (JAP) held protests outside different imambargahs and mosques after Jumma prayers against the killings of Shia Muslims in Kurram Agency and Parachinar.

“The government and democratic forces in the country should take immediate notice of the killings of innocent Shia Muslims in Kurram Agency and Parachinar where the Taliban are regularly killing 20 to 30 people every day,” said Senator Allama Abbas Kumeli, the JAP president, while addressing the main protest outside Masjid Shah-e-Najaf, Martin Quarters, Jamshed Town.

“Leaving more than 500,000 Shias at the mercy of the Taliban is a conspiracy against the country.

We will have a worse situation than Afghanistan if the government, the Pakistan Army and political and religious parties fail to stop the Taliban from spreading terrorism in the area.”

Kumeli said that the Taliban have no concern with Islam or its preaching but are working in the interest of America. They are creating a weak image of Pakistan and, he added, spreading a false image of Islam in the world.

“The government should not give a free hand to the Taliban in the name of a peace agreement but should create a balance, and ensure the rights of people according to the constitution of Pakistan,” he demanded.

Allama Furqan Hyder Abidi warned that the ‘Millat-e-Jafferia’ will call a long march to Parachinar if the government fails to stop the Taliban. Maulana Hussain Masoodi, Allama Aftab Jafferi and others also addressed the protest demonstrations.

And of course it wouldn’t be a proper article if it didn’t have a “blame America” line in it as well.

Taliban use swords to slit the throats of Afghan ‘traitors’ in public executions before thousands

In a shocking display of hardline violence, Taliban militants in northwest Pakistan publicly slit the throats of two Afghans today after they were accused of spying for US forces suspected of launching a missile strike in May.

The two men, one of them a former Taliban fighter, were brought blindfolded before a crowd of several thousand people near the village of Damadola in the Bajaur region on the Afghan border before they were executed.

“They were spies. Whoever spies for the Americans will meet the same fate,” Qari Zia-ur-Rehman, a Taliban leader in the area, told the crowd before another man slit the throats of the two with a sword.

The crowd shouted: “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest) when the Taliban held up the severed heads of the victims who Rehman said were from the eastern Afghan province of Kunar.

Bajaur is one of Pakistan’s seven border regions dominated by ethnic Pashtun tribes and a hotbed of support for the Taliban and al Qaeda.

NO trial, NO evidence presented, just a public execution. Gee, why don’t I hear the ACLU or CAIR or any of those supposed human rights/civil rights groups condemning this? They always whine and bitch like little school girls when terrorists are jailed in Guantanamo. Oh I get it, because those people were allegedly working FOR America and not against us, they don’t care. The only civil rights those assclowns care about are the terrorists’ rights, their victims be damned.

The school has been accused of inflating their enrollment numbers to get more state funding. They got busted. Muslims, lying about their numbers to make them appear a larger group than they really are? Now where have we seen this before?

ONE of Australia’s best-known Islamic schools has been accused of defrauding the commonwealth and West Australian governments of more than $3million by claiming it had hundreds more students on its books than it did.

Australian Islamic College director Abdallah Magar, 69, and school principals Mark Debowski, 50, and Aziz Magdi, 53, are due to appear in a Perth court on Wednesday over charges that they obtained a financial advantage by deception for another person and gained a benefit by fraud.

They were released on $100,000 bail yesterday. Police are expected to ask the men to forfeit their passports.

After being released from custody yesterday, Mr Magar said he would defend the charges.

The men are accused of inflating their student numbers by claiming money for students who were not attending the school.

Police said the school could claim $1300 to $2000 for each child from the West Australian Government, while the funding rate under the commonwealth ranged from $4000 to $6000, depending on the child’s age.

Inspector Arno Albrecht, of the Major Fraud squad, claimed: “The defrauding of the government agencies was simply putting forward false numbers of students and, as a result of that, they obtained the subsidised funding. There was some checking but nowhere near what you would think would be required for giving out such large amounts of funding.”

He said that although some of the funding was used for school purposes, the men were paid high salaries, with Mr Magar earning about $200,000 a year.

Inspector Albrecht said the charges related to funding received in 2005 and 2006 but other funding years had not been investigated because of resourcing and public interest limitations. In total, it was alleged the men fraudulently gained $3.16 million from the state and federal governments.

About $2.5 million of the funds came from the commonwealth, with the balance provided by the West Australian Government.

“They’re not claiming the same amount of student subsidies now, so whether they can maintain the operations of those (campuses) based on not receiving those funds is something I couldn’t tell you about,” Inspector Albrecht said. “(But) we’re aware that (their claims) have been dramatically reduced.”

He said that although there was a risk the schools could close as a result of the charges, it would be up to the relevant government departments.

Here’s hoping they shut that place down. We have all seen the reports of madrassahs in Pakistan teaching terror/jihad, and the same in Europe and the US. Why should the Land Down Under fare any differently. After all they are infidels as well.

Led by the Canadian Islamic Congress, Muslims have taken Steyn and Macleans to a ‘human rights’ tribunal on a charge of ‘hate speech’, a totalitarian statute enforced by the Canadian Human Rights Commission (sic) who are in the business of destroying the freedom to voice perfectly legitimate – indeed, absolutely vital and important – opinions about the need to defend western society against Islamist attack. Bad enough that Islamists browbeat and threaten people who express such opinions. For a body such as the CHRC to do their dirty work for them and act as the enforcers of the jihad against free speech takes us straight into the nightmare landscape of Kafka.

The human-rights tribunals are a censor’s dream. Under Canada’s human-rights act, commissioners can convict if they believe any published material is “likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt.” Since they are “remedial” institutions and not real courts, they need not follow strict legal procedures or grant traditional rights of the accused. No one goes to prison, but the panels can fine and silence people at will — and run up the lawyer bills for years. Truth is no defense, and commissioners are authorized to confiscate a computer without a warrant. Evidence can be woefully flimsy.

But this appalling development is not confined to Canada. A few days ago the UN decided to outlaw any criticism of Islamism – as defined by the Islamists themselves. Tehran, 26 June (AKI) - Iran’s highest judicial authority, Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, says public flogging is an effective criminal deterrent, while imprisonment is a useless punishment.

In an interview broadcast on state TV on Wednesday night, the head of the country’s Judicial Authority complained that “many Iranian judges, influenced by western propaganda and fearing they will be accused of failing to respect human rights, are not sentencing offenders to effective penalties like public flogging”.

“Public flogging is one of most just sentences that can be inflicted on someone who has committed a crime,” said Shahroudi.

“The publication of photos and news of public floggings is the best deterrent, while three or four months in prison has no effect,” he said.

“We must reduce prison sentences and make use of public flogging more to punish offenders.”

Last month, rights group Amnesty International urged Iranian courts to suspend flogging sentences.

“Flogging is a form of cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment, which amounts to torture,” the organisation said.

Amnesty said it was outlawed under Article 7 of the United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

In its latest report, Amnesty International said sentences of flogging and amputation continued to be implemented in Iran, and torture and ill-treatment were widespread in prisons and detention centres.

I actually laughed at the sentence where Amnesty International complains Iran is violating United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. We all know muslim countries don’t give a rat’s ass about following international law. The only time they go to the UN is to investigate racism in the US (they sent a guy named Doudou to do that, no joke) and when they cry because Hilary Clinton said she would obliterate Iran in retaliation for attacking Israel, and in any move that denounces the United States. Amnesty International is about as useless as the UN. And that is saying something.

Apparently diverting from the literal translation of the quran is forbidden. Unless you are practicing al-taqiya and trying to confuse and lull infidels into a sense of “understanding” islam as bring peaceful…

Afghanistan: Death penalty call for man who spread Koran translation

Karachi, 23 June (AKI) - (by Syed Saleem Shahzad) - An Afghan journalist accused of distributing an unacceptable translation of the Koran should be put to death, says former Prime Minister Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai.

Former journalist Ghows Zalmay, who was also the spokesman for Afghanistan’s Attorney-General, was arrested in November last year for distributing a translation of the Koran into Dari, one of Afghanistan’s two official languages.

Ahmadzai, who ran in the 2004 presidential election against current President Hamid Karzai, told Adnkronos International (AKI) he supported the death penalty for Zalmay.

“Today Afghanistan is full of vices. Several Afghan restaurants serve liquor, despite it being illegal and on top of it, such material is distributed,” Ahmadzai told AKI.

“I am in favour of his death.”

Muslim scholars in Afghanistan reportedly said that the new version of the Koran misinterpreted verses about alcohol, begging, homosexuality and adultery. They also complained that this version was not accompanied by the original version of the Koran in Arabic.

Ghows, 50, is reportedy in jail after being accused of blasphemy and his lawyers say he risks the death penalty. He is expected to face charges in an Afghan court within the next week.

“This is all an American conspiracy to deviate Afghans from their faith,” said Al-Hajj Farooq Hussaini, the leader of a Muslim prayer association in the western city of Herat in an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI).

“They want us to be converted Christians or simply atheists. This American occupation of Afghanistan is worse than the occupation of Afghanistan by the Soviets,” he said.

Hussaini also referred to the case of Abdul Rahman, an Afghan Christian convert who was granted asylum in Italy in 2006. Rahman escaped a possible death sentence in Afghanistan for becoming a Christian.

“Earlier they protected Abdul Rahman who left Islam and converted to Christianity and now they are encouraging the distribution of the fake translations of Koran,” said Hussaini who is also the leader of a group led by Ismail Khan, Afghanistan’s Energy Minister.

“Ghows Zalmay should be given an exemplary punishment for his crime,” he said.

Many Muslim bloggers have labelled some new translations of the Koran, as the “American Koran”, which they say is unauthentic and aimed at distracting Muslims from their faith.

Well, considering most Afghani citizens can’t even read their own language, let alone Arabic, I don’t see why not having the original Arabic translation is relevant. But muslims love to work themselves into a frenzy over any slight against pedophile muhammad or his book of terror, real or imagined (see Danish Muhammad cartoons, Paris riots of 2005,2006, 2007, any rally in the middle east that ends with a DEATH TO AMERICA chant).
