Once again terrorists hiding among the civilian populace cause the death of an innocent person. In this case it was a 4 month old girl. Of course Hamas will spin it as a holy mission. And another child will never get the chance to experience life.
Gaza house blast kills 7; Hamas hints at accident
BEIT LAHIYA, Gaza Strip - An explosion flattened a house in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing seven people. After blaming Israel and unleashing a barrage of rockets and mortar shells, Hamas suggested the blast was accidental, not an Israeli attack.
By then Israel had carried out an airstrike aimed at a Gaza rocket squad, killing a Palestinian. Two other Israeli military operations in Gaza killed five more militants.
The violence threatened to scuttle Egyptian cease-fire efforts as they approached the finish line. A key Israeli envoy, Amos Gilad, was in Egypt trying to wrap up a deal, but there was no announcement of results.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said the military was not operating in the area of the house at the time of the blast.
“We deny any connection to this incident,” Maj. Avital Leibovich said.
Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida said there would be an investigation of the blast and the results would be made public.
The statement was taken as a Hamas acknowledgment that the blast was probably accidental, not an Israeli attack. Dozens of militants have been killed while handing explosives in recent years.
The blast shook the town of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, about a mile from the Israeli border.
Ambulances rushed to the scene, and residents of nearby homes brought shovels and bulldozers to help dig people out. Three people covered in blood were carried out on stretchers and hurried into ambulances that sped them away to a hospital.
Hamas said seven people were killed, including a 4-month-old girl and a senior aide to the Hamas interior minister. Several bodies were removed from the rubble. Among the dead were five militants, Hamas said.

While Jimmy Carter hugs and plays tea time with terrorists Hamas, they, along with their underlings, islamic jihad, push forward in their goal to exterminate Israel.
Israel blasted as ‘paper tiger’ after latest retreat of troops
Palestinian terrorists demonstrate what is really in their hearts. And it is NOT tolerance or peace.
‘We’ll keep firing until every Jew climbs back into the sh—- hole he came from’
JERUSALEM – Terrorists in the Gaza Strip are rejoicing at an Israeli decision today to evacuate troops stationed at a major Gaza-Israel border crossing following repeated Palestinian attack against Israel’s side of the border station.
“This retreat proves the Israeli army is a paper tiger. What we proved to the world in 2005 (when Israel evacuated its Jewish communities from the Gaza Strip) we are proving once again. We are reaching a new step and proving our resistance and our rockets are working,” Muhammad Abdel-Al, spokesman and a leader of the Hamas-allied Popular Resistance Committees terror group, told WND.
“Just as the Zionists are running from the border, they will also run from Ashkelon, Ashdod, Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa and Tel Aviv … . We will keep firing until every Jew climbs back into the sh–ty hole he came from,” said Abdel-Al, whose group took responsibility for scores of recent attacks against the Israeli border.
Abu Ahmed, a leader of the Islamic Jihad terror group in Gaza, called Israel’s troop evacuation a “victory.”
“We feel proud and determined,” he said. “Israelis start to withdraw from bases that are well-fortified because the Palestinian resistance proved that we are able to reach them at any point even if it is very fortified. We are proving once again that the myth of the unbeatable Israeli army is irrelevant,” Abu Ahmed told WND.
Time for Israel to launch another massive operation against terror. Terrorists always claim to love death. Give it to them.

A terrorist tale with a happy ending, for infidels everywhere.
Palestinian suicide bomber attacks Gaza crossing
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - A Palestinian suicide bomber detonated a truck loaded with tons of explosives early Thursday in an attempt to ram a crucial crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel, militants said. There were no casualties besides the bomber.
Also mentioned, was a shooting involving Palestinian gunmen hiding among civilians, like they always do. Of course the media tries to paint it as if Israel intentionally shot at the civilians.
Israeli troops opened fire on a crowd of protesters at another border crossing several hours later. A Gaza health official said a 22-year-old man was killed and 16 people, including three children, were wounded. The military said it opened fire after spotting gunmen in the crowd, including one carrying an anti-tank missile.
Two militant Palestinian factions — Islamic Jihad and the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades — claimed responsibility for the bombing at the Erez passenger crossing, which could be heard for miles around and shattered windows in Netiv Haasara, an Israeli community across the border.
Abu Ahmad, an Islamic Jihad spokesman, said the bombing was meant to “send a message” to Israel that if it didn’t accept a truce, “Gaza is not going to be a place where you will enjoy stability.”
Gotta love the terrorist mentality of “Accept our truce, or else!”.

It astonishes me that this is the future of the democrat party…
Obama said this in a NY Times interview today:
The U.S. needs a foreign policy that “looks at the root causes of problems and dangers.” Obama compared Hezbollah to Hamas. Both need to be compelled to understand that “they’re going down a blind alley with violence that weakens their legitimate claims.” He knows these movements aren’t going away anytime soon (”Those missiles aren’t going to dissolve”), but “if they decide to shift, we’re going to recognize that. That’s an evolution that should be recognized.”
I’d like to know what “legitimate claims” Hamas and Hezbollah have?
Just how exactly does Obama plan to address these “legitimate claims”?

More rockets falling on southern Israel, more “see no evil, hear no evil unless it’s Israel” from the UN.
*update* video added of the aftermath
A rocket fired from Gaza hit a shopping centre in the Israeli city of Ashkelon today, injuring several people, police have said.
At least 14 people, including two young children, were hurt when the rocket hit the third floor of the building. Three were seriously hurt, and rescuers were continuing to search for casualties.
The blast came as the US president, George Bush, met Israeli leaders in Jerusalem to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the state of Israel.
Speaking in Jerusalem moments before the rocket strike, the Israeli prime minister, Ehud Olmert, said he was working for peace, including a truce with Hamas, but said Israel would hit back hard if rocket attacks continued.
“We will not be able to tolerate continuous attacks on innocent civilians,” he said. “We hope that we will not have to act against Hamas in other ways with the military power that Israel hasn’t yet started to use in a serious manner in order to stop it.”
Rockets are fired into Israel from Hamas-controlled Gaza on an almost daily basis into Israel.

I love reading these stories about terrorists who remove themselves from the gene pool when their bombs blow up (quite literally) in their faces.
Hamas militant killed in Gaza explosion
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - A member of the militant group Hamas has been killed in an explosion along Gaza’s fence with Israel, the group said Sunday.
The Islamic group’s military wing says the member was killed and another injured during a “holy mission.” Such language is used when explosives meant for an attack on Israel explode prematurely.
Israel’s army said it was not operating in the area at the time of the explosion early Sunday.
Fighting has escalated since an Israeli man was killed in a mortar shell attack on southern Israel on Friday. In retaliation, Israeli forces fired missiles that killed five Hamas militants.
Gazan militants fire rockets and mortars daily. Israel frequently launches airstrikes and ground operations in Gaza against the rocket squads.

Here is an interesting piece, and another reason for the United States to deport the UN (I am sure the socialists in Europe would welcome them, as they are united in dhimmification), terrorist lovers that they are, and stop sanctioning Iran, and start bombing their terrorist training camps. And a great reason to cut ALL aid to the Palestinian terrorists.
The UN has long effectively behaved as a club of terror, excusing, ignoring or condoning acts of terrorism and tyranny while repeatedly singling out their principal state victim, Israel, for grotesque condemnation. The role of its relief agency UNWRA in supervising ‘refugee camps’ which are factories of terrorism has long been deeply compromised. Israel has repeatedly claimed that terrorists operate under the cover of UNWRA vehicles and facilities. The UN however has always strenuously denied any involvement whatsoever in such activities. Now however Reuters tells us that the headmaster of a UN school in Gaza, Awad al-Qiq who was killed last week in an Israeli air strike on a ‘mechanic’s workshop’, taught by day and made rockets for Islamic Jihad by night. Wrapped in an Islamic Jihad flag, he was buried as a terrorist hero.
Total mind-blower, a UN official in Gaza engaged in terrorism, right?

Oh those duplicitous gazan terrorists just can’t make up their primitive minds!! First, in line with Iran’s mahmoud I’mADamnNutJob they deny the holocaust. Now they are saying the Jews themselves caused it, to “thin the herd” as it were. This makes me wish the gazans would enlist mores suicide bombers, to thin their herd. Morons.
Hamas Adds ‘Sinister Twist’ to Holocaust Denial
Jerusalem (CNSNews.com)
Although Holocaust denial has long been a common theme among Palestinians, Hamas has added a ’sinister twist,’ claiming that the Jews themselves devised the Holocaust to exterminate the disabled and handicapped among them so they wouldn’t be a burden to the future State of Israel. The documentary, which aired on Hamas Al-Aksa television on April 18 - two weeks before Israel marks Holocaust Remembrance Day on Thursday — was translated by the Palestinian Media Watch and can be found on YouTube.
Over archival footage of the first Israeli leaders, a Holocaust death camp and Nazi Germany, a narrator “quotes” Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion as saying that the “disabled and handicapped” represent a “heavy burden” to the state.
“The Satanic Jews thought up an evil plot [the Holocaust] to be rid of the burden of the disabled and handicapped, in twisted criminal ways,” the narrator says.
“While they accuse the Nazis or others so that Jews would seem persecuted and try to benefit from international sympathy, they were the first to invent the methods of evil and oppression,” the narrator says.
Wow, these inbred f**ktards accuse Israel of doing the very thing Hamas is guilty of(creating falls crises like the “power outages” they stage so they can reload their rocket launchers in the dark while the few good people in gaza starve). There is no low that those terrorists won’t stoop to. But we already knew that, given the recent school shooting they perpetrated, the threats they make against Egypt, the kidnappings of reporters, the launching of rockets at hospitals, and their use of children as human shields to protect their bomb making houses. That Israel hasn’t simply cut ALL power, all supply lines is a testament to the compassion of the Jewish people. Let’s hope their compassion doesn’t become their undoing, because if the roles were reversed, Hamas would simply wipe them out, which is their stated goal.

Score one more for the good guys!!
GAZA CITY (AFP)- An air strike on Thursday killed a Hamas military leader in Gaza who took part in the 2006 capture of an Israeli soldier, the Israeli military said.
The Israelis “targeted and identified hitting Nafiz Mansur, a Hamas terror operative who was involved in terror attacks against Israel,” it said in a statement.
“Mansur was involved, among other attacks, in the capture of Gilad Shalit,” it said in reference to the Israeli seized by Palestinian militants in a cross-border raid from Gaza claimed by Hamas and two other armed groups.
The statement said the militant also bore responsibility for the killing of two Israeli soldiers in a July 2006 attack, and took part in setting up a suicide assault on a border post on April 19 this year.
The Islamist Hamas movement confirmed Mansur’s death and said it would “respond to this crime at the adequate time and place.”
The adequate time and place being after they call for a cease fire during which they can re-arm and reload their rocket launchers.

UPDATE - I corrected my initial headline which read “military” and replaced it with “terrorist”. The last thing I want to do is legitimize those who blow themselves up, shoot up schools and want to carry on the legacy of the Nazi’s.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Hamas wants a cease fire to rest their terrorists, re-arm and re-equip, and they want to call it a “truce” for 6 months…puuuhlease
Of course, the UN will condemn Israel for rejecting a so-called “peace offer” by Hamas.
CNN – An Israeli official says a Hamas proposal for a truce in the Gaza Strip is “not serious” and would only allow the hardline Islamic group to prepare for a new round of fighting.
Israeli government spokesman David Baker says the group is “playing games, trying to buy time in order to regroup and rearm.”
Hamas officials said this week that the group is prepared to accept a cease-fire in Gaza.
The announcement from Hamas was a concession, because the group was previously demanding a cease-fire that would include the West Bank as well.
In Friday’s statement, Baker said Israel will “continue to take all measures to defend its citizens.”

An op-ed column by Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar, an active leader of the group in Gaza was published on the Washington Post on April 17,2008 laced with anti-Israel sentiment in which he praises Jimmy Carter for meeting with Hamas.
Their reasoning for publishing a Hamas article? Because it could:
“provide some clarity about the group he helps to lead, a group that Mr. Carter contends is worthy of being included in the Middle East peace process.”
So Steve Emerson, brings up another good question…Did WaPost pay Hamas their standard fee for this article?
There is a more immediate question at stake: Did the Post pay its standard fee for Zahar’s column? The Post compensates guest writers with a minimum $200 fee, spokeswoman Rima Calderon said. Other factors, including whether the column was solicited or had multiple authors, could increase the amount. So, what did the Post pay Zahar?
“As I suspected, we don’t make this information public,” Calderon said in an e-mail.
Payment of any amount could violate U.S. law banning material support or other transactions with the designated terrorist group Hamas, said Jeffrey Breinholt, senior fellow and national security law director at the International Assessment and Strategy Center. Breinholt knows the law well. Before taking leave last summer, he was the deputy chief of the Department of Justice’s counterterrorism section.

..nothing meaning he didn’t negotiate the destruction of Israel, instead he legitimized Hamas which is something extremely significant, especially since it comes from an ex-president who’s engaging in cowboy diplomacy for his own humanitarian at the expense of US foreign policy.
MADRID (AFP) — Last week’s meeting between former US president Jimmy Carter and the exiled leader of Hamas militants did not produce any results, Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Malki said here Wednesday.
“President Carter came to the region thinking he could achieve something. Unfortunately president Carter left without anything concrete,” he told a conference in the Spanish capital.
“The only thing he achieved was permission on the part of Khaled Meshaal of Hamas to deliver a letter from a detained Israeli soldier to his family. Nothing else,” he said.
….
“Hamas offered nothing to president Carter. They reiterated the same positions. There was no change on the part of Hamas,” Malki added.
Carter’s meetings with top Hamas leader Meshaal and his deputy in Syria angered Israel and the United States, which consider the movement a terror group despite its victory in 2006 elections.
He was unable to secure a ceasefire or a prisoner exchange for an Israeli soldier seized by Gaza militants in 2006, but on Monday Carter said Hamas told him it would recognise Israel’s right to exist such a deal was approved by a Palestinian vote.
Just hours later Meshaal told a press conference in Damascus that Hamas would not recognise the Jewish state and would insist on the right of return for 4.5 million Palestinian refugees.
