Ken Livingstone has effectively been fired for his incompetence as Mayor of London

Boris Johnson claimed a remarkable victory in the London mayoral contest on Friday night to cap a disastrous series of results for Gordon Brown in his first electoral test as Prime Minister

The Conservative candidate’s win over Ken Livingstone followed a calamitous showing for Labour at the local elections - the party’s worst performance at the polls for 40 years.

Mr Johnson’s landmark victory, a result that would have been almost unthinkable six months ago, was the most symbolic blow to Mr Brown’s authority on a day that left the Prime Minister facing the gravest crisis of his leadership.

By taking City Hall, Mr Johnson becomes the first Tory politician to hold a senior role in British politics since the party was swept out of power in 1997. His win provided a significant boost to David Cameron’s bid for victory at the next general election.

In the local elections, Labour lost more than 300 councillors and slumped to a humiliating third place behind the Liberal Democrats in the share of the vote – a full 20 points behind Mr Cameron’s Conservatives.

The results represented a significant breakthrough for Mr Cameron and were the best the Tories have recorded at the polls since John Major won the 1992 general election. If translated to a General Election, it would see the Tories with a Commons majority of more than 100.

As one Labour backbencher gave Mr Brown six months to reverse the party’s slide or resign, comparisons were made between his Premiership and the dying days of John Major’s tenure. The Tories predicted the results marked the beginning of the end of Labour’s three terms in Government.

On a night of unremittingly bad news for Mr Brown’s administration:

• The Conservatives took a 44 per cent share of the national vote, the Liberal Democrats 25 per cent and Labour just 24 per cent;
• Labour lost 331 council seats – far beyond even their worst predictions – while the Tories won 256;
• The Tories made key breakthroughs in the North while Labour was wiped out in the South.

Maybe conservatism is making a comeback of sorts in the UK. Or maybe they are tired of always having their leadership make excuses for terrorists living in the muslim ghettos who refuse to integrate with civilized society, and instead want to continue the jihad they had to give up when muslim invaders were expelled from Europe in the 15th century.

Stumbling toward Eurabia

In the summer of 2004, in an interview little noticed outside the country, the prominent academic scholar of Islam Bassam Tibi predicted a future for Germany that many decried as provocative nonsense at the time. In ten years, Tibi said, Germany will be the scene of large running battles between police and gangs of marginalized Muslim youth, bringing cities like Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt to the brink of chaos. This will be the inevitable result, according to him, of a trend that is already visible. Muslims are not interested in integration. They are, in fact, obligated not to integrate by the radical Islamic ideology dominant in their communities, and live increasingly segregated in parallel societies. The main difference between 2004 and 2014, Tibi believed, would be that the highly marginalized Muslim population would have more than doubled to 10 million, sharia would have been gradually introduced in Germany and the Islam preached there would be even more radical and resemble Nazi totalitarianism.
Today, more than three and a half years later, a new study of attitudes among young Muslims by the German interior ministry would seem to confirm Tibi’s fears. According to the survey, 44 percent of respondents have fundamentalist Islamic beliefs, 50 percent believe that “Muslims who die in the armed struggle for the faith (Jihad) go to paradise,” and one in four is ready to engage in violence against non-Muslims.
Nor is such troubling evidence unique to Germany. At about the time the German study was being released, the Bishop of Rochester, Michael Nazir-Ali, spoke of the existence of Muslim no-go zones in Britain, described as areas dominated by radical Islamic ideology where people of different faiths reportedly face physical attacks. This phenomenon has been likened by Tory shadow Home Secretary David Davis to “voluntary apartheid” by Muslims, “shutting themselves in closed society, demanding immunity from criticism.” And just a month earlier, in the Paris suburb of Villiers-le-Bel, young Muslim rioters for the first time used firearms and Molotov cocktails to battle police in what was described by some in the media as an “urban guerilla war.”

Nothing like a riot by peaceful tolerant muslims armed with guns and molotov cocktails, right?

Add in the muslim population explosion due to illegal immigration and the fact that they pretty much multiply like rabbits (as seen in Lebanon, where muslim families living in squalor pop out kids in greater numbers than the Lebanese Christians), and it only gets uglier for Europe.

BRITISH police and security agencies are monitoring 30 terrorism plots, Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said in extracts of a newspaper interview released today

“We now face a threat level that is severe. It’s not getting any less, it’s actually growing,” she said in an interview to be published tomorrow in News of the World.

“We task the police and the security agencies with protecting us … There are 22,000 individuals they are monitoring. There are 200 networks. There are 30 active plots,” she said.

So 22,000 peaceful and tolerant muslims are being watched due to active terrorist ties. What a surprise.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s Labour government is seeking to extend pre-charge detention of terrorism suspects to 42 days from the current 28-day limit.

But Smith faces a tough task steering the controversial provisions through parliament.

The opposition Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties have both said they will vote against extended detention

Great, the multiculturalist dhimmis in parliament are more worried about hurting a terrorists feelings than they are about protecting British lives.

A group of Muslims in Britain are trying to curb extremism among young Muslims.

Although it’s nice to see some decent Muslims organizing in an effort to curb extremism, the questions from an ideological standpoint still remain. Such as do these good Muslims support freedom and democracy which includes western government’s foreign policies against Islamic extremism? Do these good Muslims believe and support freedom of religion? Do they support the effort in Iraq and Afghanistan? Do they support the building of Mega Mosque’s in Europe?

I am always skeptical of so called “good Muslims” because a lot of times, when you dig a little deeper into their beliefs, they may not be “extreme”, but still support the political and religious ideals of those extremists. It’s one thing to be a “westernized Muslim” but it’s another thing to be living under freedom and doing everything you can to support the ideals of freedom, democracy and modern day Judeo-Christian values.

I want to see a group of Muslims come out and not only reach out to extremist Muslims, but do/say everything they can to defend the West and completely root out the evil from within that is Radical Islam.

Gee, wonder why? Islam maybe?  nawww, couldn’t be!

Last year during Gay Pride several gay people were attacked simultaneously in broad daylight in different parts of Amsterdam. Groups of Muslim juveniles now prey on gays, no matter where or at what time. One isn’t even safe in the gay red light district anymore. At the moment one doesn’t have to carry a gun (yet), but would surely be helpful and far more effective than the protection offered by the police. Guns are very illegal in Holland, but I would recommend a sturdy cane or strong umbrella. That isn’t (yet) illegal.

Teachers at “black” schools (school where the majority of pupils are Muslim or other ethnic minorities) today have to hide their sexual identity and their partner or spouse, as it is not accepted by their students. The few that were silly enough to let it slip out were pestered until they found employment elsewhere. School management… Well, what can I say? Perhaps that they have magnificent red rugs? Excellent for sweeping inconvenient truths under?

In the meantime, things changed. Remember Pim Fortuyn? He almost became prime minister, despite the fact he was gay, and very vocal about it. Vocal in the sense of: “Me, gay? Yeah. What about it?” You might call him a Teflon politician, but in a positive way. No slander ever stuck on Fortuyn. And believe me, people did try! Fortuyn showed the nation that being gay doesn’t mean you have to be automatically left-wing. It also showed conservative people that gays can be excellent politicians, or highly capable managers. Fortuyn was regrettably murdered, but his performance showed gays could do very well in the conservative camp.

Add two and two together: gays aren’t any more interested in being left-wing that you or me. They want to be themselves. No need to advertise your sexual preference, either way. You don’t shout from the rooftops you’re straight; neither do most gay people find it important to scream to the world they are gay. All they want is to be left in peace, and live their lives as they prefer.

It used to be possible only within the left wing camp to make a career as a gay politician. Fortuyn showed differently, and his stand pointed the way. Today many gays realize their bread and butter are conservative.
