Olmert agrees to withdraw from Golan for peace with Syria?

Pathetic pacifism.  Not just to Syria, but to the world community.  It’s insane to think that Syria will commit to peace if the Golan Heights are given back.  They are intent on Israel’s destruction just as much as other Muslim countries are.

Why would Olmert go to so much length to appease the international community and Syria? What ever happened to doing what’s in the best interest of the Israeli people?

How do the Israeli people stand this guy?

From Carl in Jerusalem:

Al Shams, an independent Damascus-based website, reported Wednesday that Prime Minister Ehud K. Olmert has informed Damascus via a third party that Israel is willing to conduct a full withdrawal from the Golan Heights in exchange for peace with Syria. According to the report, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed President Bashar Assad of Israel’s position.

Erdogan is expected to visit Damascus on Saturday. In a recent interview, Olmert said he hoped his efforts concerning Syria would soon be realized but failed to reveal details. No Israeli Prime Minister has ever offered Syria the entire Golan Heights. In 2000, negotiations with Syria fell apart when then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak insisted on retaining a small strip of land around the Sea of Galilee.

Memo to Reuters: embedding with terrorists is hazardous to your health

A Reuters cameraman supposedly (notwithstanding some Paliwood tricks) filmed his own death yesterday in Gaza while embedding with terrorists.

I’m sure this was just a purely innocent case of an objective journalist being caught in the line of fire…uh huhh, yea right. I’m sure there was no reason at all that the IDF fired on the innocent cameramen…uh huh, yea right.

Of course Israel will look like a war criminal due to the propaganda love-fest the Pali’s will have with this story, and expect UN condemnation within hours.

Here’s is the video that Fadal Shana took in his final moments.

JPost

Reuters footage released on Wednesday shows the final moments of agency cameraman Fadel Shana as he films an IDF tank firing, moments before apparently being hit by the shell.

Reuters Editor-in-Chief David Schlesinger has called for an investigation of Wednesday’s incident, in which Shana was killed when his vehicle - bearing “TV” and “Press” markings - was hit by apparent IDF fire. Two bystanders also died in the incident.

Iran Commander: “If attacked we will eliminate Israel”

Another threat, another yawn from the MSM and another lead up to an almost inevitable war.

AFP

TEHRAN (AFP) — Iran would “eliminate Israel from the global arena” if it was attacked by the Jewish state, the deputy commander of the army Mohammad Reza Ashtiani warned on Tuesday, the Mehr news agency reported.

“We are not worried by Israeli manoeuvres, but if Israel takes such action against the Islamic Republic of Iran, we will eliminate it from the global arena,” General Ashtiani was quoted as saying at a news conference.

His comments come a week after Israeli National Infrastructure Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer warned that any Iranian attack against Israel “would lead to the destruction of the Iranian nation.

Ashtiani was speaking ahead of Iran’s national army day on Thursday when a major military parade is expected in Tehran.

Israel refuses security for Carter

Israel has refused to provide security for Jimmy Carter after declaring his intention to meet with Hamas. In fact, Carter will get no cooperation at all from the Shin Bet in his travels through Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. I can’t imagine how Carter’s Secret Service detail must be feeling right now knowing they won’t have the backing of Israeli security and intelligence. I bet they’re real happy with Carter.

Israel’s secret service has declined to assist U.S. agents guarding former U.S. President Jimmy Carter during a visit in which Israeli leaders have shunned him, U.S. sources close to the matter said on Monday.

Carter angered the Israeli government with plans to meet Hamas’s top leader, Khaled Meshaal, in Syria, and for describing Israeli policy in the occupied Palestinian territories as “a system of apartheid” in a 2006 book.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner, who brokered Israel’s first peace treaty with an Arab neighbor, Egypt, signed in 1979, met Israel’s largely ceremonial president, Shimon Peres, on Sunday but was shunned by the political leadership, including Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Israel has also rejected Carter’s request to meet jailed Palestinian uprising leader Marwan Barghouthi, who is seen as a possible successor to President Mahmoud Abbas, a spokesman for Carter said.

Palestinian terrorists storm Israeli border

Of course it was justified though because Israel keeps dropping bombs on babies in Gaza…

And the media, of course, will not call them terrorists…

Nine killed as Gaza militants storm Israeli border.

GAZA CITY (AFP) - Two Israeli civilians and seven Palestinians were killed on Wednesday in an explosion of violence around the Gaza Strip border after Palestinian commandos stormed into Israel. …

The dead Palestinians included both militants and civilians, one of them a teenage boy.

The Israeli army said Palestinian fighters breached the border near the Nahal Oz fuel terminal, which provides Gaza with its fuel supplies, and moved into Israel under the cover of a barrage of 15 mortar rounds.

The militants killed two Israeli civilians in their 30s, according to the Magen David Adom rescue service, in what the army called a “failed abduction attempt.”

A military official said the militants opened fire at short range at the two Israelis who were working at the terminal, located east of Gaza City.

Islamic Jihad and two smaller militant groups claimed responsibility.

Congress Passes Resolution Recognizing Jewish Refugees

That’s right, JEWISH refugees. The Jews who were run out of Arab countries, by those tolerant peaceful muslims, after the UN created (or rather, GAVE BACK WHAT WAS RIGHTFULLY THEIRS TO BEGIN WITH) Israel in 1948. All the media ever harps on about is the Arabs who left Israel (which they previously invaded and occupied illegally anyway), most due to the promise of the other Arab countries that they would come in, and sweep the Jews into the Mediterranean. Not many are aware of the historical fact that there were at least 1 Million Jews in the Middle East. Today there are fewer than 10000.

Yet people (including retards like the traitor Jimmy Carter) insist that Israel must give back land they won in 1967, in a war Arabs started, and promptly lost, due to Jewish Military Superiority (I am guessing it’s because Jews don’t blow themselves up, thus guaranteeing they can return to report on the goings on at the sites of battle, but I could be wrong.)

Congress Passes First Ever Resolution on Jewish Refugees from Arab Countries
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, DC (April 1, 2008) - In what may be the beginning of a dramatic shift in United States policy, the U.S. Congress passed House Resolution 185, which grants first-time-ever recognition to Jewish refugees from Arab countries.

Prior to the adoption of H.Res.185, all Resolutions on Middle East refugees referred only to Palestinians. This Resolution affirms that the U.S. government will now recognize that all victims of the Arab-Israeli conflict must be treated equally. It further urges that the President and U.S. officials participating in Middle East discussions to ensure that any reference to Palestinian refugees must: “also include a similarly explicit reference to the resolution of the issue of Jewish refugees from Arab countries.”

Good luck getting equal treatment for the Jewish people, from Arab countries. Considering they treat muslims from non Arab countries as second class citizens (I know because I LIVE in a muslim country at the moment), and non-muslims even worse. About the only exceptions to that are the United Arab Emirates, and maybe you could count Lebanon, if it survives the current political crisis it is mired in. Or of you happen to be a liberal, mentally handicapped celebretard from Hollywood (Sean Penn/Danny Glover/Rosey O’Donnell, that type), then they roll out the red propaganda pamphlet- Oops!! I mean carpet.

Rep. Joseph Crowley said, “The world needs to understand that it is not just the Arabs and it’s not just the Palestinians in the Middle East, but also Jewish people who themselves were dispossessed of their possessions and their homes, and were victims of terrorist acts. These are people who lived in Middle Eastern communities not for decades, but for thousands of years.” Rep. Crowley added that the Resolution will, “bring light upon an issue that has been swept under the carpet.”

“Discussions of Middle Eastern refugees invariably focus exclusively-and shortsightedly-on the plight of those of Palestinian descent,” said Rep. Ros-Lehtinen. “Far fewer people are aware of the injustice faced by Jewish refugees from Arab lands and Iran. Many Jews saw their communities, which had existed vibrantly for centuries systematically dismantled. They lost their resources, their homes, and their heritage sites, fleeing in the face of persecution, pogroms, revolutions and brutal dictatorships.”

Rep. Mike Ferguson said that there was very strong bi-partisan support for this issue which recognizes, “the plight of hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees who were displaced from countries in the Middle East, Northern Africa and all around the Persian Gulf.” Congressmen Ferguson acknowledged that the U.N. has never recognized Jewish refugees, and that this,”is completely unacceptable and long over due, and this is one of the things this Resolution seeks to address.”

Wow, Congressmen on both sides of the aisles showed some guts on this. I must admit I am impressed that our politicians are able to put partisan politics aside and get something productive done.

I wonder how the arab countries that perpetrated these heinous acts will react to this.

Hamas leader: If talks go bad, POW will return home…dead

Again, another Hamas leader, threatening to kill a POW during conflict.  This is an international crime and should be addressed by the international community.

But guess what?  World leaders don’t care…they brush it off.  Nobody will pay any attention to the fact that Hamas is threatening to kill a POW if Israel does not release 350 Palestinian prisoners.  The UN, international courts, other arab nations, wouldn’t dare criticize Hamas for their barbaric actions.

Ynet

Moussa Abu Marzouk, deputy of Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal, said the Islamist group would not release kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit unless Israel releases 350 Palestinian prisoners.

In an interview with Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas, published Sunday, Abu Marzouk said if Israel does not comply with Hamas’ demands “we will hold on to Shalit and we will negotiate the return of his bones (to Israel).

Just this week, another Hamas leader said that Gilad Shalit was alive and well and being treated humanely by his captors.  Speculation is, though, is that that this is just another complete fabrication by Hamas to gain leverage in prisoner swap negotiations.  Most think the Israeli POW was killed a short after his capture which led to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah last summer. Nobody has seen or heard from Shalit since his supposed “capture”.  No pictures, no video, nothing.

Mashaal: We’re treating Shalit well / AFP

In interview to Sky News, Hamas chief says Israeli captive alive and being treated ‘in a good way,’ claims Israel treating Palestinian prisoners badly
