BAGHDAD (AP) - The Iraqi Defense Ministry spokesman says the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq has been arrested in the northern city of Mosul.Spokesman Mohammed al-Askari says the arrest of Abu Ayyub al-Masri, also known as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, was confirmed to him by the Iraqi commander of the province.

There was no immediate confirmation from U.S. forces on the arrest.

Al-Askari did not say Thursday when the al-Qaida leader was arrested. News of the arrest was also reported by Iraqi state television.

Clashes in Beirut After Nasrallah Vows to Use Weapons

Fierce clashes with assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers raged in several Beirut districts shortly after Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah vowed to use weapons to defend his party’s communications system.
Nasrallah, in a closed circuit press conference, accused the government of launching war against Hizbullah, stressing that “this is a new era in which all red lines have collapsed.”

“We are in war and they wouldn’t be able to predict our reaction,” Nasrallah said.

Shortly after his press conference was over, clashes broke out between Hizbullah members and Mustaqbal movement supporters in Beirut districts of Msaitbeh, Ras Nabaa, Mazraa and Basta.

The crackle of gunfire echoed across the streets of Beirut’s western sector along with the thuds of exploding RPGs.

Nasrallah said his wire communications network is a “weapon” vital for Hizbullah’s resistance and security of the party’s leaders.

“The hand that extends to touch the network would be chopped off,” Nasrallah threatened.

He also accused Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat of being the “real prime minister, and (Premier Fouad) Saniora is his poor employee.”

In typical fashion, the muslim terrorist Nasrallah resorts to threats and insults, while furthering the sectarian rift in Lebanon.

But it is the souvenirs that have led to the greatest criticism. One T-shirt from the gift shop is decorated with a guard tower and barbed wire. It reads: “The Taliban Towers at Guantanamo Bay, the Caribbean’s Newest 5-star Resort.”

Another praises “the proud protectors of freedom”. A third displays a garish picture of an iguana and states: “Greetings from paradise GTMO resort and spa fun in the Cuban sun.”

Him mentioning “SMS boys” refers an offshoot of the The Muslim Boys gang operating in South London called “South Man Syndicate”, also known as “South Man Dem”.

I posted about these gangs back in January 2008.

And Adrian Marriot was killed in 2005 by members of the Muslim Boys gang for refusing to convert to Islam.

The gang that ordered Adrian Marriott to convert to Islam is called The Muslim Boys. Until the killing, its ascendancy passed mainly unnoticed by the media. The Muslim Boys were viewed as just another of the many gangs that operated in south London, with names such as the Stockwell Crew, the Peel Den Crew, Mad Crew or Mad4T, the SMS (South Man Syndicate, also known as South Man Dem) and PDC (Poverty Driven Children). They were also given Muslim books, DVDs and copies of the Koran, by two men who would later be charged with Adrian’s murder.

In September 2005 three young men, Marcus Archer, Aaron Irving-Simpson and Marlon Stubbs, all aged 24, stood trial for the murder of Adrian Marriott. A jury at the Old Bailey heard that a few days before his murder, Adrian told his brother that Marlon Stubbs and two other individuals had threatened him at gunpoint and demanded £500 ($979). Shortly after this, Marriott and an associate “accosted” Archer at Loughborough Junction train station. Stubbs then telephoned Marriot’s sister Tara and said: “Your brother is a little tadpole. He just messed with a shark, a whale.” Stubbs already had a conviction for raping two schoolgirls.

This is a follow up on the recent victory by a Conservative politician in London, who despite attacks by muslim (read: terrorist enabler) groups (not to lump all muslims in with them, because that would be unfair. There are many muslims who want nothing to do with terror. They usually convert to Christianity once they know they won’t face a death sentence for apostacy) against his character, as well as being labeled an islamophobe, won a great political victory over the dhimmi Ken Livingstone.

Human rights campaigners???? That is bad comedy. Look at any of the barbaric acts in Iran perpetrated against women (beaten for not covering their hair), Iraq (beheaded for dressing in Western fashion), Afghanistan (Taliban blow up girls’ schools, with students in them), and in Saudi Barbaria (school girls were not allowed to evacuate a burning school because they did not have head scarves. Instead, they were sentenced to a burning death. All in the name of islam) The only peace in islam is the peace that will exist if they succeed in killing, converting or subjugating all non-muslims. As for justice, how just is it when a woman is raped, then jailed for adultery?

Personally, I think being called an islamophobe is akin to being labeled a smart, thinking person. I myself am an islamophobe. I am afraid of being maimed by some nutjob muslim with a bomb strapped to his chest. I am afraid of a car-bomb going off when I am in downtown Beirut. I am afraid of a terrorist with a backpack bomb blowing up a subway station. But that is just me.

Numbers of civilians killed by Taliban increasing: NATO

Here is further proof of terrorists intentionally TARGETING CIVILIANS. Something terrorists do because they know they cannot win a fight against an actual military. So being the cowards they are, they target the unarmed. There is a special place in Hell reserved for these pieces of excrement.

NATO-led forces in Afghanistan say the number of civilians being killed in Taliban attacks this year has increased dramatically.

NATO officials say the Taliban killed about 240 Afghan civilians in the first three-and-a-half months of this year, six times as many as during the same period last year.

Officials say most of these deaths were from Taliban suicide bomb attacks aimed at international forces.

They also claimed that there has been a dramatic reduction in the number of civilians killed by NATO troops, dropping from 31 to four this year, but these figures were disputed by local organisations.

One which monitors security and advises aid workers said that at least 60 civilians had been killed by international troops this year.

The killing in Afghanistan of German engineer Rüdiger Diedrich was a “misunderstanding,” Taliban commander Mullah Nissam has told SPIEGEL. His group has used the ransom money supplied by the German government to better arm itself.

The Afghan kidnapper who took two German engineers hostage (more…) has admitted for the first time that his men shot and killed Rüdiger Diedrich, who had been sick with heart disease, during a march into the mountains last summer.

Nissam Udin, the head of the band of criminals that kidnapped the men, described the killing of the German as the product of a misunderstanding. “He collapsed every time he walked for 10 minutes. We didn’t understand his situation,” Nissam said in an interview with SPIEGEL. Two of his fighters, he said, “two inexperienced friends,” misunderstood Diedrich, who he claims spoke several times of his suffering. “Our friends thought he was begging them to ‘shoot me,’ ‘shoot me’.”

Yes I am certain, it was 100% a misunderstanding that terrorists TARGETED, kidnapped, and executed a CIVILIAN. Yet another example of islam doing what it does best.

‘Provocative’ Clinton angers Iran

Awww did HRC upset the terrorists who run Tehran? Breaks my heart.

Tehran has complained to the UN about remarks made last week by Hillary Clinton on the circumstances under which the US might attack Iran.

The Democratic presidential hopeful said last week the US could “totally obliterate” Iran if it attacked Israel.

Tehran, which insists its nuclear programme is solely for power generation, denounced her words as “provocative and irresponsible”.

It said the remarks were “a flagrant violation” of the UN Charter.

In a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Mehdi Danesh-Yazdi, Iran’s deputy ambassador to the UN, said Mrs Clinton had “unwarrantedly and under erroneous and false pretexts threatened to use force against the Islamic Republic of Iran”.

JERUSALEM – Israel should give up its nuclear weapons to ensure Iran halts its illicit nuclear program, argues an adviser on nuclear issues to Sen. Barack Obama.

Joseph Cirincione, director of nuclear policy at the Center for American Progress, also previously dismissed reports Israel’s Sept. 6 airstrike targeted a Syrian nuclear reactor as “nonsense” and called Damascus’ nuclear program “miniscule.”

Immediately following Israel’s air raid, Cirincione listed “Israelis [who] want to thwart any dialogue between the U.S. and Syria” as among those spreading rumors Syria was constructing a nuclear facility.

Cirincione was commenting on a Sept. 13 Washington Post story about possible links between Syria and North Korea.

Wow this guy is a real genius!!! Because of him we now know that all we have to do is lay down our arms and muslim terrorists from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran et al, will stop targeting Israeli civilians and calling for the destruction of the Jewish State.
