Christian teacher ‘forced out’ after complaining Muslim pupils praised 9/11 hijackers ‘as heroes’

A Christian teacher yesterday claimed he was forced out of his job after complaining that Muslim pupils as young as eight hailed the September 11 hijackers as heroes.
Nicholas Kafouris, 52, is suing his former school for racial discrimination.
He told a tribunal that he had to leave his £30,000-a-year post because he would not tolerate the ‘racist’ and ‘anti-Semitic’ behaviour of Year 4 pupils.
The predominantly Muslim youngsters openly praised Islamic extremists in class and described the September 11 terrorists as ‘heroes and martyrs’.
One pupil said: ‘Don’t touch me, you’re a Christian’ when he brushed against him.

Others said: ‘We want to be Islamic bombers when we grow up’, and ‘The Christians and Jews are our enemies – you too because you’re a Christian’.
Mr Kafouris, a Greek Cypriot, taught for 12 years at Bigland Green Primary School in Tower Hamlets, East London.

According to Ofsted ‘almost all’ its 465 pupils are from ethnic minorities and a vast proportion do not speak English as a first language.
The teacher claims racial discrimination by the school, its headmistress and her assistant head after they failed to take action about the comments made by pupils to him.
He said there was a change in attitude of the pupils after the atrocities of September 11, 2001. They told him: ‘We hate the Christians’ and ‘We hate the Jews’, despite his attempts to stop them.
He said he filled out a Racist Incident Reporting Sheet but claimed headmistress Jill Hankey dismissed his concerns.
In a statement submitted to the Central London Employment Tribunal he said: ‘Miss Hankey proceeded to excuse and justify the pupil’s behaviour, conduct and remarks to me as if I had no right to be offended by the child’s remarks and conduct.
‘Amongst Miss Hankey’s justifications for the child’s remarks, she said, “If the child was older, say 15, I might take it more seriously. He’s only nine – he’s only doing it to wind you up”.’
He added: ‘I felt the head’s behaviour and conduct towards me amounted to direct religious discrimination. I was intimidated in the way she spoke to me which indicated “Don’t come back with such issues again”.’

Mr Kafouris, a bachelor, said the comments became more frequent after the head did nothing about the initial incidents.

Don’t dare stop muslims from professing their hatred, after all it is their religion. Anyone who says otherwise is either one of them, or a collaborator.

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan – Taliban fighters plan to disguise themselves as civilians during a looming NATO offensive in southern Afghanistan, a militant commander told NBC News.

‘We will shake their hands’

But a Taliban commander told NBC News’ Richard Engel that many insurgents would wait out the offensive.

“What, they will walk down empty streets?” the militant leader asked. “They (U.S. and coalition troops) will come in and announce that they have conquered the area. We will let them come in. They are welcome.

“They will ask, ‘Are there any Taliban in the area?’ We will say, ‘Yes, but they have left’,” the Taliban leader added.

“We will not fight them face-to-face,” he said. “We will shake their hands, as civilians. Then they will leave.”

My point here is not to champion Republicans. It is not to champion democracy. My point is that the ones throwing the temper tantrum right now are the Progressives. They think that the 2008 election gave them the right to operate like China’s autocracy, and they are lashing out hysterically at those they perceive as preventing them from doing so On the one hand, the villains are a small minority in the Senate. Or maybe the villains are the incoherent majority of the people.

The important point is that Progressives are never wrong. Top-down reform is the only way to fix the health care system. Anthropogenic global warming is scientifically proven, and its solution requires strenuous exercise of political control over individual behavior. Deficit spending is necessary and sufficient to create jobs. Technocrats can make banks too regulated to fail. Markets without technocratic control are like adolescents without adult supervision. Individual happiness can be improved by political authorities using scientific knowledge. Concentrated political power is the wave of the future, and it is good.

I am not a populist. I fear the mob. But how can I fear the Progressives any less?

Muslim bus driver freaks out passengers in pulling over mid-route and praying in the aisle

The driver pulled over in his No.24 bus and began to pray in front of bemused passengers

A Muslim bus driver stunned passengers by pulling over mid-route and beginning to pray in the aisle.

The driver stopped the bus without warning before removing his shoes and, using a fluorescent jacket as a prayer mat, beginning to chant in Arabic.

Passengers said they feared the driver could be preparing for a terror attack.

No one was able to get on or off the vehicle during the five-minute prayer session.

Passenger Gayle Griffiths complained to Transport for London about the bizarre incident on the No.24 bus in Gospel Oak, north London, this week.

Mother-of-one Miss Griffiths, 33, of Camden, north-west London, had boarded the bus a few minutes earlier on her way home from work.

She says that she even feared at the time that the driver might be a fanatic planning to blow up the bus.

She said: ‘I have done the journey a million times before but I was in a hurry to get home to pick my little girl up from school.

‘We had just picked up and let off people at a bus stop and moved off again when the driver stopped the bus very suddenly.

‘He got out of his cab, leaving the engine running, and walked towards the middle exit door.

‘He laid out a fluorescent jacket on the floor and I thought that somebody must have been sick and he was covering it up.

‘I didn’t really think much of it.

The reaction now being almost the same as when we hear the term “trillion” when it comes to debts and deficits. We’ve heard it so many times, we’re almost immuned to it by now. In fact, I’m like “ho-hum” about this but I still realize it’s important to get out there.

The Yemen-based wing of al-Qaeda called on Muslims in the Arabian Peninsula to wage jihad, or holy war, against Christians and Jews in the region.“The Christians, the Jews, and the treacherous apostate rulers have pounced on you…you have no other way out from this plight other than to wage jihad,” the wing’s deputy leader, Saeed al-Shehri, a former Saudi inmate at the US prison at Guantanamo Bay, said in an audio tape posted on a website often used by Islamist groups.

Shehri was one of 30 al-Qaeda members that Yemen claimed to have killed in an air strike in December but this was later denied by the global militant network.

“We advise you, our people in the Peninsula, to prepare and carry your weapons and to defend your religion and yourselves and to join your mujahideen brothers,” he said.

Heaviest Element Yet Known to Science Discovered

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California has now identified with certainty the heaviest element known to science.

The new element, Pelosium (PL), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Pelosium is inert, and has no charge and no magnetism. Nevertheless, it can be detected because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Pelosium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete.

Pelosium has a normal half-life of 2 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a biennial reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.

Pelosium mass will increase over time, since each reorganization will promote many morons to become isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalyzed with money, Pelosium becomes Senatorium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Pelosium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

What a shock, Iran’s Supreme leader once again wishing for Israel’s annihilation while speaking to hundreds of his followers as they give him the Nazi salute:

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stressed that the Zionist regime is moving on a precipice towards demise and it will soon experience annihilation.

“I am very optimistic about the future of Palestine and believe that Israel is moving on the precipice of wane and demise, and God willing its annihilation is for sure,”Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ramadan Abdullah Shallah here in Tehran.

He also called the Zionist regime’s inability to dominate Gaza a miracle, and added, “Despite all its financial and political aids and after laying siege (on Gaza) for more than two years, the Zionist regime could not defeat the resistance of Palestinian people.”

Elsewhere, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the attempts made by certain Arab governments to help the Zionist regime, and said these attempts are certainly doomed to failure as the Muslim nations always support the Palestinian cause.

CNN quietly highlights one of Obama’s favorite philosophers

CNN did a piece a few days ago talking about how Obama’s favorite philosopher, Reinhold Niebuhr, helped shaped Obama’s first year in office. It sure did! Niebuhr was a Marxist who preached social justice in defense of redistribution of wealth. In the 1930’s, he was a prominent leader of the militant faction of the Socialist Party of America.

Funny how they couldn’t have done a piece like this in 2007 when we were all getting to know Barry, the chosen one. Instead, all we heard about Obama was how great of a speaker and how cool and collected the guy was. Oh and he was a champ at reading a teleprompter. But what did he actually believe? What values did he hold? Which thinkers did he admire?

Finally CNN does some actual reporting:

Obama called Reinhold Niebuhr his favorite philosopher, but few know about the controversial pastor today.

In the summer of 1943, when Adolf Hitler’s armies marched unchecked across Europe, a pastor in a remote New England village decided to write a prayer.

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,” he began, “the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”

It is now known as the Serenity Prayer. It’s been adopted by 12-step recovery programs and cited in numerous self-help books. Yet few people know who wrote it. His name is Reinhold Niebuhr, and he was a Protestant pastor in the mid-20th century whose words tended to unsettle people, not offer comfort.

“The greed of capitalism and the business class was huge in his mind,” Crouter says. “It had to be combated.” …

“He criticized Christian idealists who thought force was never justified and who believed that the law of love was a simple solution to social and political problems,” Copeland said. “At times, power must be challenged by power.”

Niebuhr distilled his view of human nature in his monumental book, “Moral Man and Immoral Society.” The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. cited the book in his “Letter from Birmingham City Jail.” Former President Carter is also an admirer of Niebuhr’s.

People are capable of doing good, but groups are driven by “predatory self-interest,” Niebuhr wrote.

“As individuals, men believe that they ought to love and serve each other and establish justice between each other,” Niebuhr wrote. “As racial, economic and national groups, they take for themselves, whatever their power can command.” …

In a 2007 interview, Obama explained to David Brooks, a New York Times columnist, what he learns from Niebuhr.

He called Niebuhr his “favorite philosopher,” Brooks wrote.

“I take away,” Brooks quoted Obama as saying, “the compelling idea that there’s serious evil in the world and hardship and pain. And we should be humble and modest in our belief that we can eliminate those things. But we shouldn’t use that as an excuse for cynicism and inaction. I take away … the sense that we have to make these efforts knowing they are hard, and not swinging from naive idealism to bitter realism.” …

Obama, a student of the civil rights movement, declared that he was a “living testimony to the moral force of nonviolence.” Yet force is necessary at times, he said.

“A nonviolent movement could not have halted Hitler’s armies,” Obama said. “Negotiations cannot convince al Qaeda’s leaders to lay down their arms.” …

It’s interesting that Niebuhr urged the US to enter WW2 against the assertion of his fellow Christian pacifists who claimed non-violence was the only way to peace. At least he got something right.

Sweetness and Light also points out this interesting nugget about Obama’s spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright from From p. 153 of ‘Dreams From My Father’

[E]ventually [Wright had] entered Howard, then the University of Chicago, where he spent six years studying for a Ph.D. in the history of religion. He learned Hebrew and Greek, read the literature of Tillich and Niebuhr and the black liberation theologians. The anger and humor of the streets, the book learning and occasional twenty-five-cent word, all this he had brought with him to Trinity almost two decades ago.

Should we not be surprised about Obama’s rhetoric and actions knowing that he followed the lead of people like Reinhold Niebuhr, Jeremiah Wright and Saul Alinsky? It paints a picture more clear than ever about Obama’s agenda for this country.

Detroit: “Arab” man causes security breach after refusing TSA screening orders

Multiculturalism rears it’s ugly head again. We know of course it’s not Christian or Jewish Arabs who are the problem with global terrorism. But we’re still deathly afraid to consider the obvious.

Freep.com - Security officers stopped passengers from entering the McNamara Terminal at Metro Airport this morning after an Arabic man refused to stop when questioned during the screening process, according to police.

Airport spokesman Michael Conway said a portion of the McNamara Terminal around Concourse A was shut down around 7:51 and screening by the Transportation Security Administration resumed around 8:40 a.m. after a sweep by security dogs.

TSA officers at first thought a language barrier prevented the man from understanding their instructions to stop, according to a Metro Airport Police investigator. But police officers called to assist discovered when they took him into custody that he spoke English.
